What rooting software to use for Alcatel A30 plus (5049S) W/ Android 7.0 OS

My Alcatel A30 plus phone (5049S) was purchased unlocked ...... I can't find info
for what rooting app to use ...... Tried KingoRoot.apk directly on phone, with
allow unknown source ...... 1st screen shows unlocked lock and says no root .....
when I activate rooting it fails ..... so I tried Pc-app W/ usb to phone ... App doesn't
find the phone when attached , even though I can access the phone in file sys .....
Stuck in the mud, so to say ........... My phone act's lethargic having limited mem ....
need to dump some stuff I will never use ....... HELP

PS. In the Android 7.0 OS, where is usb debugging located?
