Settings---application---app permissions. The second app has a green box bottom right corner with a lil key looking object. Why two and can I disable or what can I disabled?

How do I get rid of the Crack Virus on my phone?

I was browsing the Internet, and I went to a website about the constitution and Google told me that i had got a virus. I asked about it and the person said that I had what was called the "Crack Virus", which allows someone to have complete control over your phone, corrupt your photos, and watch what you're doing. I don't know how to get rid of it. I don't have any money attached to my phone, but it still scares me. Am I ok? And if not, how do I get rid of it? Slow phone. Will factory reset Galaxy Note 3 work?

Hi,

I have been using the phone since launch, and I noticed that even if I uninstall apps, files still remain. Been thinking of upgrading, but the phone still works. I am currently on my 3rd battery, and 4th S Pen tip. Still not sure if I should upgrade, but I have seen the latest benchmarks and the Note 3 is quite behind compared to other current phones (antutu benchmark).

I also noticed that whatsapp is the main cause hogging the phone's memory. This app cannot be transferred to the memory card. I don't game on my phone (uninstall all games to free space), using it for emails and S Pen, but recently even that is a problem as I cannot reply to emails as the loading screen after hitting the reply button takes time to load. I do use a lot of widgets and widget buttons on the phone screen.

Should I factory reset it or perform other methods to get a clean phone? Maybe this will help speed up performance of the phone? Maybe install a newer OS?

What items I should backup if resetting is the way?

I used to get delivered/read reports on my s6. After the AT&T update last week, this feature no longer works.
When I tried to disable advanced messaging in an effort to kick the feature in the pants I get a "unable to turn off advanced msg" please wait until all file xfer via msg are done...screen

Help, LG V10 My phone thinks i always have a headphones connected

(my phone is LG V10 btw) So yesterday i was ridding my motorcycle pretty quick in the rain, i slipped, everything's fine no damage to anything, phone is working good, but the problem is since that moment i slipped and my phone got hit, my phone thinks theres a headphone connected all the time to the 3.5 Jack, the jack itself is working fine if i connect any headphones to it, until i get the time to go and fix it, is there a temporary solution to the problem? Is there a way to disable the dac in the settings for a temporary time or make the phone stop thinking there's headphones connected? Much appreciated for all the help, thanks!

Tablet closes when I turn on wifi

Hi, I bought my kids T805c tablets for xmas. I finally got around to connecting them to wifi, and now they both go into boot loop. If I disconnect the wifi, they work fine. If I go into recovery it says no command. I also go into another screen buts the menu is all in Chinese, I've googled it, the first screen showed me which is factory reset. Did factory reset, no change. Started in safe mode, turn on wifi and it closes.
Does anyone have any solutions, my kids are devastated that they cant use their presents.

Questions relating to viruses.

Hello everyone,
I'm new towards android. Recently when I browse into a website (decent one) . There is this pop up message stating I've been infected with 4 viruses and 28.1% risk of damage . There's basically two pages one which is '' your system is heavily damaged by four viruses . ' which leads has the ''ok'' button there . As for the second page ,it's a Google sign giving me the steps to tap the button and install app for free as step 1 and open the app to fix the browser as step 2. I've pressed the ''ok'' button for the first page which leads me to the second page but I did not download the app at the second page . I'm just pretty worried if I'm infected by any malware or viruses .

Would love to have some advice or feedbacks on this . Thank you !

Pixel 2 xl owner charging questions

I've noticed if my phone is unlocked and screen on while charging the charge rate is extremely slow. 10% in 30 minutes with just the screen on not doing anything. Screen off charges fine but not as fast as expected. From looking around the second part is common but not much mention out there of extremely slow charging while screen is on. Second part is if I plug into a 3rd party charger 80% percent of the time the phone shuts off as soon as I plug in. It continues charging while off and will also continue charging when I turn back on but as soon as I unplug and plug back in phone shuts off. Never seen this before. I contacted Google customer service and they're offering a replacement and I'm wondering if this is a common thing which will hopefully be fixed in a software update or I should exchange. Thanks

Unable to connect to dashcam threw Wi-Fi

I have a thinkware f800 dash cam that worked with no problems with my previous iPhone . With my note 8 it says Internet may not be available and it won't let me access my dashcam app . My previous phone I could connect threw a hotspot or Wi-Fi to my dashcam . S8 Camera Pro Mode Frame Rates?

I am trying to record in Pro Mode at FHD 60FPS, however it seems to default each time to either 24FPS or 30FPS. I have my camera settings correct to record at 60FPS but it only seems to do this outside of pro mode. Any ideas?

Wifi switching to Xfinity instead of my home network

I am using a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tablet and my internet is Xfinity and my question is this:

When I am at home I use my home network but when I go to the library it switches to the library wifi. My problem is when I get home it switches to Xfinity and not my home network. I do not even have Xfinity configured on my tablet yet. Is there a way to get my home network recognized automatically instead of going to settings and switching to my home network?

Recommendation to backup Apps & Data

I am looking for an app, or even better, a Windows program, to backup my apps and Data.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and it came with Smart Switch. However, that does not backup app data.

I used Smart Switch to restore an app I accidentally deleted a while ago. It restored the app but none of the configuration/settings or app data was restored

how can i respond and possibly help someone who has created a post about the rca tablet?

first anyone looking for help from the rca company..good luck and forget it. i use to try many time and could never get a "live" agent and when i finally did this person refused to direct me to a tech that could actually help me with my problem unless i agreed to listen to his sales pitch for something (dont remember) and when i told him to just transfer me he hung up on me! and this was after months of trying just to get a live agent . before that it was all of these select that option and that option etc. etc.etc. insame!!! now my problem is i keep getting a black screen when i enter something into a search on google or after i get into google and then do further searches black screen, black screen, black screen. i bought my first tablet myself an rca and swore i would never have another but the next was a gift and an rca and i thought, "oh no!" but it was a gift and it was pink! so of course i had to keep it, right? andyway can anyone help me. and like many others i already know the deal with rca so that isnt even an option. so if anyone can help thanks in advance.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Battery not charging

I am extremely frustrated with my Galaxy S8 not charging after battery go to zero. Verizon has replaced my phone 4 times with me currently waiting for another replacement phone which will not arrive until Wednesday January 3. Today is New Year eve. LG G4 stuck in checking connection after Flashing

It's been a week since I bought a smartphone LG G4 US991 American (US Cellular) in second hand, everything worked fine except that in the settings I could not activate the option '' Unknown sources '' for install applications without going through the playstore. I tried to restore the system but without success, I read some by on the web how to flash the phone with the latest official stock rom updates for my LG, and I'm skipping the action and I've flash and sa went pretty well because I followed the procedure to the letter on the Phoneandroid Site on this page [link removed by Moderator]. The flashing finished I arrive on the activation screen of the phone as described on the picture, but I block on the verification of the Google account (verification of the connection / Checking connection), which can not connect while I have a good Wifi speed. The "Stock" Weather App

Hi all, I'm new here and seeking help in regards to the stock weather app. First off my phone is a Samsung Galaxy J3 6 v.

I like the stock weather app the best, clean and simple. However a recent update from Android Marshmallow to Nougat is where my dilemma begins. The Android Nougat OS is fine itself. But the stock weather app changed weather the source on me. Prior to the update it used Accuweather. After the update it now uses The Weather Channel. I am up in arms about it. I am in a micro climate so winter temperatures are several degrees colder than the surrounding area. Accuweather accounted for this. The Weather Channel source does not.

So what can I do or what can be done? I don't want to use other weather widgets/apps. I asked over on the Verizon forums but that is all they suggested to me. This may seem trivial to some but it's something I am concerned with.

I can't tell my read from unread emails note 8

Please help, I have poor eye sight so I bought the note 8 . My fon't size is set to 3/4 of biggest and fonts are also set to bold. The problem I am trying to solve is ...My read and unread emails look identical (to me) . I have tried making the fonts smaller and not bold but it is still only a slight difference and I need to keep my fonts set to larger (they are not even near full size.) Can perhaps the color be changed after an email has been read or anything else that would be a clear indicator that an email has already been read ,so I am not sifting through the same emails checking if I read them already ?? Why can't I download Apps from Play store or pictures/files from Browser?

Hey guys,

I got my Google Pixel 2 just one week ago and I already experience some issues with it. So I have a problem I can't download things from my Playstore/Browser or in general anything anymore.

It happened already once, but I did a factory reset and the issue was gone. Now after setting everything up and using my phone for 1 week it came again (today).

Things I've already done:

- "Reboot the phone" (it worked after the restart but after few minutes I can't
download anything again)

- "Clear Cache/Data from Play store/Play service and Download Manager" Didn't
work at all

- "Uninstall Play Store updates" (It worked actually once but then it automatically
updated it to the newest Play Store version and the download was pending
again)

- "Resetting all app preferences" (It helped after a restart but after few minutes I
can't download things again

- "Toggling on/off airplane mode and Wifi", I did that but didn't work at all

My suspicion:
I read somewhere it's duo app preferences so cleaning cache won't do anything. I think the issue is either my "Download Manager" or some "Google Apps". I really don't know. Maybe it's even my Wifi, but when I go to Wifi settings it says the connection is good.

Factory Reset may help, but the issue will probably come to 99% again after few days. (Please, I don't want that kind of solution!)

I can't download things at all and this issue is really bugging me. Oh, by the way, this is my first Android phone, so I'm not that experienced with the OS.

I appreciate any kind of help which makes my experience for Android much better.

Recent Update Phone Issues: BLU VIVO XL

Hello! I'm abou to but a new android phone. I found in the Internet that Wileyfox does good phones for cheap, so I went to their site and they offer the Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus for 120£, but with home screen ads. If i get that phone, can I remove that feature with root or something? Thanks!

I'm using a LG G pad x2 8.0 plus for streaming. During the film google assistant pops up. I've deactivated it and it'll give me the prompt to activate it. Past two days I've noticed if I move the device the menu for play back appears also.

Google play aggressively show ads on screen

Lately google play forcibly show ads that arent compatible with this tablet. The ads appear sometimes while on a forum composing a reply or while watching youtube video. If they are trying to annoy me, they are doing a good job. I have tried to discard any new apps ive installed in the previous months to no avail.
Stop the ads!

Help to use Kodi with Chromecast

Hi can someone please help me set up Kodi to cast on to Chromecast? I have a OnePlus 3 and followed the instructions which are on many sites where you download kodi, es file explorer, localcast and the PlayerFactoryCore file. The article I last used can be found on the alphr site.

When I follow those instructions, I try to play a video file but nothing happens.

It seems I'm not the only one to have this issue but can't seem to find a solution.

Weird noise from bluetooth head phones when using Google assistant

When I try to prompt Google assistant on both my phone and headphones while they are connected my headphones make this weird sound its a very loud sound that kinda sounds like when somebody hangs up on you, that ding sound plays without stopping until Google assistant is off. I'm on A5 2017, I have tried resetting my phone and I have in unpaired and paired my headphons many times before and after I retarted my phone. The problem started when I accidentally factory reset my phone(don't ask how).

Why do my apps disappear randomly!

Hi I have a Galaxy S7. At least once a week I wake up to find all my apps either missing from my home screen and or moved to different places!
When I go to my apps icon to find them, some are there, some are not!. I'm so over this phone. It takes so much time to set them all back up again. What can I do to keep this from happening? Also, not sure if it matters, but the phone seems slow. Drags when I hit messages to text or phone to call. Thanks in advance!

Note 5 locked to Rogers but Rogers cannot find my IMEI

Hi Everyone,

Long time reader and now first time poster here.

I purchased a locked Galaxy Note 5 from a guy on Kijiji (bad idea, I know). He demonstrated the phone worked by making a call with his Chatr sim card. I thought it would be easy enough to get unlocked. I was wrong.

I paid for an unlocking service from an eBay seller, which they said my phone is already unlocked - which it is not unlocked.

I then contacted Rogers directly (twice) which they checked my IMEI number and said it is not found in their system. I then contacted Chatr and received the same info, the IMEI number is not found in their system.

I know the phone works on Chatr and also the phone has Rogers bloatware. My phone's Mobile Operator is: 302720 (Rogers).

The phone checks out as clean and not blacklisted.

One thing to note which may be irrelevant, but my IMEI has "/58" appended to the end.

Is there any reason my phone is not found in the Rogers IMEI lookup?

Any help is most appreciated!

Definition of the spatial coördinate system used used by Android

Android uses a cartesian coördinate frame for representing vectors, such as the acceleration of the phone. However, relative to what is this frame defined?

Why do I get other users' notifications?

It started on Christmas 2017. Why is my default Camera gone?

So I'm recently into photography and the only camera I know I'm allowed to use is my phone cam. Until the camera was gone and of course I got sad and disappointed mainly cuz it's the only camera I can use and it had high resolution. I'm using a Firefly Aurii Secret lite.
My default phone cam disappeared but I found a way to open it again I had a camera shortcut that I can use instead of the app but when I pressed it there was a Chinese thing that appeared by the bottom of my phone screen. I tried to reboot it then it came back but I tried to press it then it said "Please turn off/delete any third-party app" which o can't find where. I tried other cam apps but none of them worked. The phone is almost a year old since 2016-2017 and it's new year right now and I want to take pics of my new year celebration but that happened. I have to be honest the phone fell hard on the ground many times but it had a rubber/jelly case which is why it's still a bit in good condition. Please find a way to get this fixed or at least recommend me things that I should do!😢😭

My photos have disappeared during transfer

Since August, my LG Spirit 4G (6.0, Kernel 3.10.49) has decided that it wants to save any pictures or videos I make on the device itself, not the SD card. I didn't realize this till today, when an app wanted to update but it didn't have room to do so.

So I plugged by phone in via USB and found the images in the DCIM/Camera folder using Windows file explorer. Stupidly, I decided to select the images and hit cut, instead of copy, so they were now transparent in Windows File Explorer (that means they will be moved, not just copied).

I start the transfer. Windows states "copying 20171225-1.jpg" when suddenly, I get a error message. Which is useless because the message is blank, but I check the phone and the photos have gone - I check where the photos are being transferred to - Not there. I check Windows recycle bin - Not there and I even google the problem and find this site which tells me to find "LOST.DIR". Nothing there either.

I now fear that the images might be lost forever - There was enough room for the app update to occur (because it automatically happened).

But could the images be elsewhere in the OS?

Cannot configure my work exchange account on gmail app of pixel2

I have just bought google pixel 2. I have set up Microsoft company in tune application. Now when I'm trying to configure my work email address onto Gmail application I'm getting below error. While it is working fine on MS Outlook android application. I have checked with my company's IT department and they say that there's nothing wrong with my account as I'm able to configure it on another email client.

Error: you don't have permission to sync with the server. Contact your servers administrator for more information. (Status : 129)

Also there is no issue with the number of devices on which I can connect my work account, that is sorted.

Why does my live wallpaper get set back to default whenever I turn off my phone?

This problem doesn't happen with the stock live wallpapers or regular wallpapers(whether downloaded or stock), only with downloaded live wallpapers.
Also it doesn't happen immediately after I turn off my phone, maybe 1 or 2 minutes pass before I turn it back on again. If i turn it on immediately nothing happens. It's also not the fault of the app as this problem has happened with many other live wallpaper apps. The live wallpaper in question only has a couple of frame changes per day,(it's a forest-type that only changes after a couple of hours to show the time of day) so I don' think my phone crashed because it was like a 1000 FPS or something. I have a Lava z25, have had 0 problems with it til now.

Random ad bubble dropping down from right top scree

Long story short. I have a Galaxy s8. Downloaded the app charades played it then got bored. After that downloaded other apps played them and then unistalled. During this time my finger slipped and I clicked one of the cursed ads. Not exactly sure what app. I'm not sure exactly what happened between when my finger opened the app to now. But I have since uninstalled all my most recent apps that I downloaded from the Play Store. This drop down bubble is on my home screen so far and has now shown a Starz ad bubble and one for Atlius or what not. I've gone to app manager to see if I could have any sketchy app but I haven't. Neither my antivirus or malware apps have caught what it could be. Should also say it's there for like a few seconds and then it's gone. I've noticed when my phone is off for a bit and then I turn it back on it's there but only for a few moments. I've screen shot the one with the Atlius bubble but I am unsure on how to attach it.

Push notifications stopped on Huawei P10 plus - what am I missing?

I only want notifications from Twitter & Outlook. Auto sync is enabled (except for Google), I've given both apps unrestricted data access, both have data & wifi checked in network access, both have notifications turned on & neither close when the screen is locked.

They had been working fine until I downloaded TelsaUnread for Nova but I've since uninstalled that & still no push notifications! Oh & I wiped the cache partition & the cache for the individual apps.

What am I missing?

Phone is running B177, EMUI 5.1, Android 7. Thanks in advance for any help.

Galaxy S7 (G930VL) highlight bar in recovery mode

when in recovery mode, if you use the blue highlight bar to choose your recovery option, then hold volume up, power, and home button it turns the highlight bar green....why?
I've tried selecting my options in both colors and can't tell it changed anything different. That I can see. But I figure it's gotta be something, or some reason why?

Internal memory picturesare not accessible in PC through USB MTP

>> I am using Lenovo K5 note, the device is not having option of using it as mass storage, however it can be connected through MTP.
>> In the internal memory, file manage, the device is having around ~1700 pictures, which are accessible in the device and also in google photo.

I went through the similar questions in the forum, only one of the suggestion I found was present in my mobile is presence of .nomedia file in the file manager folder.
After deleting it and restarting the phone, it was appearing again.
I disabled all the google related apps, clean master, yahoo, facebook and watsapp, only then the .nomedia file was not appearing again.

I thought I got the solution but the situation is same.
Request help from you all!!

hands free mode on wired or bluetooth headsets

Pc not sensing plugged in moto e by usb.

I have a Moto E android phone, and my goal is to recover some deleted photos.
so ignoring all the fluff of what im doing to recover photos, my problem is that my computer does not sense my phone. I have a usb plugged into the phone, which is connected and plugged into the computer. The phone shows the charging icon, but the computer does not sense it and neither does the program which im using to recover photos.
My ipod touch works fine when plugged into the usb, but not my moto e. Is there anything i can do to fix this? i tried following this page--

How To Remove Safe-Mode from Galaxy Core Prime? Volume buttons don't work.

I have tried multiple times to remove safe-mode from my phone and almost about every method for doing so. I accidentally dropped my phone in the ocean water during vacation over the summer, and barely was able to get away with a good, still-functioning phone. The only downside about that though is that my volume buttons were not that lucky. I am still able to click them without them being stuck or anything. But they no longer control my phone's volume so I'm really at a loss when it comes to even trying to attempt a factory reset, or removing safe mode. Any help with either of my problems?

I get a report crash on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 that won't go away

It is a report about Lunar Calendar crashing.....every time I click on gmail to send in report, the crash report pops up again. I turned tablet off, but it just keeps on doing it when I start it up again. Getting really frustrated! Help??? I also tried to uninstall the app, but it won't uninstall.

dual SIM in Samsung galaxy j7 neo

This little blue 1 appears next to all of my messages. It looks like a sim card and will switch to a little 2 if I switch my SIM card into the other slot. Does anyone know how to get rid if it?

My songs won’t appear on my music app even though iTunes says it’s purchased

So I bought the rest of a Pokémon Black and White Album that I wanted on iTunes with a gift card, and they all say purchased, but when I go in my music app, and my settings app and go into the music app, it says I only have 2 songs on it, the ones a bought before the rest of the album. I don't know what happened, so I need help.

why are my headphones acting weird

Every time I go to plug in my head phone it either doesn't give me the notification that the head phones work they do plug in and the song or video sounds like it's miles away and not in my ear. (I hope that made sense). Is there a way of fixing this?

My earbuds won't work. They register as plugged in but the sound comes out the phone.

We plugged the same earbuds into a different device and they worked fine. We also plugged a different set of headphones into the same phone and they worked.

My phone battery is draining fast! Help!

I have been using lenovo vibe S1 almost 7 months ago, and I realised the battery is draining very fast recently. Every one minute using the phone there's at least 1% is gone- I checked the power consumption details in the setting, and what I saw is SCREEN -81.8%
WI-FI -10.9%
SIGNAL-STANDBY-5.1%
I found it really abnormal that screen is using so much battery, but I always set my screen brightness the lowest. What can be the problem? How can I solve it?

Google Pixel 2: Six Installed APPS disappeared -- UNINSTALLED!

Got a 128GB Pixel 2 for Christmas -- 6 days ago.

NOT new to Android. Use Android daily (on a 10" tablet) and have done so since early 2013. So, this is not NEWBIE stuff on Android, though my Pixel 2 us running 8.1.0.

I installed the following APPS from the Play Store:

1. Garmin Connect

2. Samsung Gear

3. FAST (speed test from NetFlix)

4. Amazon Kindle

5. Bank of America

6. Fidelity Investments

7. Project Fi

8. NVMS7000 (security camera app).

Configured them all with account numbers, passwords etc. AND used them all. Took me 20 minutes to set up NSMS7000.

This evening went to use FAST.

Not there!

Then realized other APPs were missing. Home screen nearly empty.

From the 8 installed ONLY Project FI and Samsung GEAR remained.

Others gone. Not in APP tray. Not in APPs.

Appears in the Play Store Library.

I did NOT uninstall them.

Just disappeared.

Any ideas.

No big deal. Bought it for the camera. Don't use it as a phone! Use my tablet for the APPs.

Samsung random noise!

My Samsung note 8 keeps doing a random chirpy drum-roll notification noise every now & again, really loudly. There are no obvious notifications though! I've got everything possible switched off and phone on silent but it persists (that includes NFC, Bluetooth, battery charging noise etc...) Help it's really starting to get on my nerves!

authentication error pop up when trying to update software???

I have an LG Tribute Android phone. this phone is not hooked up to any type of network. it is hooked up up to a friend's Xfinity wifi like the mobile WiFi. She put her username and password in my phone and now I get basically free WiFi. That Being said earlier today I was on the phone when I popped one of those danger things your phone is infected to get you to install apps. I did not install any apps but it did get me thinking. What if my phone does have a virus? So I Googled that exact question how to know if your phone really has a virus and I was directed to your website. I was reading the steps on how to protect your phone. (Go to settings, about phone, update software) I followed those went off without a hitch. However, when I tried to update the firmware and all the other categories that are on that page, I kept getting a pop-up stating... authentication error. Please try again later.
I don't understand why that is happening. Also I would like to mention that I'm thinking maybe I do have a virus because my phone is just acting crazy it doesn't do what I tell to do when I hit on something or click on something it does not work it does basically whatever it wants to do . And when it does follow command it takes forever to do so. So I'm thinking maybe I really do have some sort of virus. I should probably add that I have downloaded outside of the Play Store. The app that I installed from Google itself or from the Google Internet Was Showbox does anybody have any issues about that or any information about that app?

Problem with Huawei Mate 9 lite and charger dock stand.

I've just got a new new charger dock stand, and my plan was to use it as an easy way to connect my phone (Huawei Mate 9 lite) to the PC. However, everytime I connect my phone, its screen block showing a different wallpaper and the ****, without being able to use the phone till I disconnect it. I try using another phone or tablet and there is no problem at all. Also I try my Huawei with a simple usb cable and it works perfect. What can I do?

Why won't my Motorola 6.0.1 let me use my SD card?

How to set the countdown timer to minutes and seconds?

This is on Android 6.0 phone. I would like to set the countdown timer to start from mm:ss (minutes:seconds), for example 02:45 (2 min 45 sec).
I can only set the timer to full minutes but cannot set the seconds.

Texts not showing in Android Messenger, but showing in Contacts history

On my 2 week old Moto G5 Plus phone, running Android 7.0, I have noticed that I have not been getting some text messages in the Messenger app (version 2.7.030). However if I go to the Contact app, and look at the recent history for the person that sent the text, the texts do appear. As of right now, this only seems to be happening with some texts sent from iPhones, but not all texts from iPhones.

Has anyone experienced this problem, and is there a way to correct this issue?

S7 hotspot messed up?

Hey guys,

A friend directed me here, in hopes of getting a bit of help.

Situation:
Got a S7. Tried to use the hotspot. It is not visible to all devices. The device I tried to connect to it cannot see it, where others can. I have even tried to add it manually.

I was able to connect 2 samsungs to it, and I could connect it to both samsungs.

Does the fact its a different brand and provider make a difference?

Any ideas or suggestions?

Samsung tab 4 10.1 with power issues.

Previously there was a problem if the tablet was turned off. Although it had been fully charged it would take several attempts to turn it on. If reattached to the charger it would start on the next try. Thought that it was the switch but it works in all other purposes.

Then I thought that it was the battery. Now I wonder if it is the native security/condition software the incidentally monitors the battery

Rediculous to take for diagnosis or repair since that would cost almost as much help as a new boxing day buy.

Can "Hey Google" / Google Home Mini's response be played through audio groups?

I have a Google Home mini on the first floor of my home and Chromecast Audio's in every room of the house. The Google Home mini can hear and respond to my question but now it only responds on its tiny speaker rather than the many Chromecast Audio's I have. Why did my contacts disappear?

I lost my cell phone recently. Someone found it the same day, and I got it back from that person. Now I have found that my contacts have all disappeared. It's the only thing that seems different about the phone since it was lost. I'm wondering if the person who found it did something to it that caused the contacts to be lost. Android Auto not compatible with Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge?

I received a new car stereo for Christmas, with Android Auto built in. I was searching for my Android Auto app on my phone, when I realized I didn't have it. I go to the Google Play store to download it again, and I see that my phone is not compatible with it. Galaxy J5 - Charging current decrease over time

Hello everyone!
Few day ago I got a powerbank, which charged everything but not my J5. After few tries I found, that it needs a voltage at D+ pin to work and apparently my phone isn't providing it. So when I made everything on prototyping board and got my phone to charge from powerbank I noticed a thing I don't understand. First, it's charging with 1A, but over time it drops to 0.1A (I checked it with multimeter). And when I checked, from wall adapter it's charging about 0.7A without drops. Anyone knows, why is this happening?

Working example for audio and video streaming between two Android devices

I have been looking for a working code example for audio and video streaming between Android devices for some time now.

What I have found are examples that stream only camera capture to a desktop browser.

Moreover the projects that support audio I did not get compiled or run on recent Android versions.

I have not found a pair of app codes that enable audio and video communication between two apps.

Quality of call remains poor.

I have had the same carrier for 20+ years so I know nothing is new there. My BlackBerry never had my voice cut out or sound like I was underwater. I have had a replacement already since March 2017 (on my S8+) for crashes and the voice call quality. No further crashes but all of a sudden people can't hear me on thw other end of the line, then my voice comes back.

Why does restarting my phone give me back 4g lte?

I bought a Motorola e4 plus and it works fine most of the time, but it will eventually lose connection and will only use data at 3g speed- sometimes less, or no connection. I have to restart my phone just to get my connection back. This happens everywhere I go. My old phone never had this problem.

Galaxy S6 is not turning on / Charging after battery discharged to 0%

Galaxy S6 discharged completely to 0% at night. I plugged it in the morning. It charged about 47%. I took it off the charger but it didn't turn on. I tried Plugging it in but now it is not even charging. and now i'm left with a brick phone.

Battery started draining fast, new battery same issue

I have an LG G Flex 2 and had usually 2-3 days of use before charging (normal use, a bit of surfing/e-mails, wifi or mobile data on only when i use the phone, location off, everything off). Couple of months ago those 2-3 days went down to less than a day. Ultimately my battery died and I got a replacement yesterday through LG service.
Now I have the same problem. When my screen is on it drains 1% almost every minute. So if I look at my phone for 5 minutes, I loose 5% of battery. When the screen is off, I loose about 1,5-2% per hour.
I can take some battery monitor screenshots but this lg doesnt show anything like recpetion quality so I would need to get a 3rd party monitor and would like a suggestion. I tried GSam but after 8 or so hours all the lines on the charts flatlined so I cannot tell anything from it anymore. I do know that phone radio consumption was at 50ish %

I need to reset a galaxy tab.

Hi, I need to reset a galaxy tab, its my daughters and she has been putting games on it then uninstalling them over the years.
The memory is always full but ther number of games is getting less and less.
I reckon its full of old data etc.
The problem is one game she has on there, singing monsters, she has been building this game up for years and I don't want to lose any data during the reset, is there a way to do this without losing the games data?

Relocating my Asus Zenfone 2 from Canada to the US.

I have asked many people from many companies about this. I have changed jobs and find myself in the US more often than home in Canada. I have 2 sim cards, one with Rogers in Canada, one with T-Mobile in the US. So far this works very well for me, however there are many apps & services I want to use in the US but can't because of home vs regional issues.
Is there a fix where I can get US apps & services on my Canadian phone?
Can I do a reset and re- build the phone while in the US?

Running an App before the password becomes active.

I have a Moto X-Play running Android 7.1.1. When my machine boots you have to enter the password to gain access. Is there any way to allow an app to run and be visible without putting in the Password?

I have an app called ICE (In Case of Emergency) on my phone which contains all of my medical history and what prescriptions I am taking. However, I just realized that without the password it is of no use to first responders.

Any ideas or thought would be greatly appreciated.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro - swipe down function

Hi

Just got the HM10 Pro and love it. I always use Nova launcher though, but want to retain the Huawei default swipe down which enables to search for apps and contacts in one hit. Do you know what that would be as an action to enable in Nova? Can't seem to find it under "shortcuts>activities" - not sure what the actual action is called ! Any ideas?

How can I play music from my SD card?

I have the Moto Doid Turbo 2. For music I used Double Twist, and now Rocket Player. I can play songs from the phones internal storage, yet nothing that is on my SD card. Any help?

Any Tracking App That Actually Works?

Hi Guys,

In the past I have always used Iphone with MyFitnessPall and Map my walk. So I get a step count everyday and a map of the walks or runs I have done.
Switched to S8 and can not get any to work now.
If I use Samsung Health, I get steps but not a map, just a big circle.
If I connect MyfitnessPaal and Map my Walk, I get map but not steps.
I like the feature that Samsung health detects automaticly I am on a walk and wish I could use this but the lack of map is a big issue.
Is there anything out there that can auto start a walk, map me and steps???

I am using Samsung Galaxy S6 with last updated version of Android, 7.0
I was recording important video for my kids but I received a phone call and it stops the recording. I am really very upset it was very important video. I had to reject the call and fast re-recording but I have two separated videos now.

Is there any setting to keep recording video if i received the phone call!

Wiley Fox Swift 2 x taking 2 photos on power on, one from front and one from rear camera

Greetings,

New Wiley Fox Swift 2 X, Android 7.1.2, 1 November Patch
Every time the power button is pressed approx 3 seconds later 2 photos are taken one from the front and one the rear camera. The camera app doesn't launch I just check in either Google Photos or Gallery.
I have checked Settings, Gestures and switched Jump to Camera off.
Scanned fully with AV, rebooted.. lost for ideas.

Any help appreciated

how can i retrieve an apps data

i downloaded an app and stored my cryptocurrency there
it was recently removed from the app store and the app doesn't work either.
when i start it up it turns black and nothing happens.
normally i would go to menu - private keys - grab seeds and there i could transfer my cryptocurrencies to another wallet and i would have them save.

is there some way to transfer the app with all its data to my pc?
or could i retreive the seeds from the code?
any help is appreciated.

Why isn't my tab turning on?

I bought my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 4 years ago. All these days, it worked fantastic but recently what I've seen is that: when i switched off the tab, it was 97% charged, but the next morning when I intended to switch it on, it had no respond. I wanted to check by plugging in the charger, but still no response. Not a single icon flashed on the screen, It was totally blank with a whole black screen. can any one of you help me solve these issue? I have read many of ur forums similar to mine, if any of you could help.

Connecting USB drive says charging S8

Whenever I connect any usb stick to my galaxy s8 it just brings up a notification saying connected device charging. When I change it to transfer files it just resets and goes back to charging? Any help? It's driving me bonkers!!

Is it normal for bluetooth headsets to have an effect on app performance?

I'm using a Pixel 2 xl and a pair of true wireless earbuds.
I'm just using the earbuds for the first time today and noticed that when I open a select few apps while using the earbuds, it runs slightly worse in different ways.

In Zombie Gunship survival, the audio is staticky and cuts very briefly in and out, like the phone has trouble running it but the game runs fine visually.

In a Dance of Ice and Fire, the thing you control is a circle that orbits another circle that normally goes in pretty much a perfect circle. I noticed that only while using the earbuds, it goes in an octagonal ish shape and runs at a significantly lower framerate.

Other apps simply have < .5 sec audio latency while, strangely, Youtube has zero audio latency.

Customizing Google Assistant and Home Button

I would like to customize google assistant so that I can pause think in the middle of a query (while I have my finger pushed on the home button). Currently, when I am talking to google, as soon as I pause in my speech, google assistant stops listening and responds to it. I want to be able to hold the button down until I finish. Is there any way to do this?

Note: My device is not rooted.
