Moto G4 Play won't factory reset on recovery menu.

The other day I got a black screen on my moto g4 play, I tried everything to fix it, but it wouldn't do anything, so I went to the boulder and tried to factory reset the phone, that didn't work and gave me the android logo with the "no command" on it. Then I tried looking up to fix it, and every forum I read said to factory reset in the system recovery menu, so I did. But when I tried the phone didn't let me.
