Why does my slow-motion video editor keep crashing?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 and every time I try to edit a slow-motion video, the app to edit crashes. I can reproduce it 100% of the time. The gallery stays open but the editor always crashes and gives me a "Slow-motion Video Editor keeps crashing" error message.
