Is there some trick to bring Groups back or should I look for another app?

In Contacts v.3.8.02.14 (the default app on my S8+) there is no sort for Groups. I've reviewed the menu, there is no provision for Groups to display. Many of my 300+ apps are sorted by Groups. When I had the S5, we worked very well.
Is there some trick to bring it back or should I look for another app?
