Issue with sound and volume

I have a Galaxy S6 and I always have the media volume at the lowest setting (basically muted), but every time I open any type of media on any app (Twitter, YouTube, Chrome) the volume goes all the way up by itself.
I didn't have this issue before last week.
Can someone help me figure out why this is happening?
