Call Name does not appear in call log history how do we fix this?

I have a Blackberry PRIV running android. I have call name display with my provider. When an incoming call comes in the name of the caller will appear (I don not have the name of the caller saved in my contacts). After completing the call, rejecting it, or ignoring it, if I view the call history the name of the caller will not appear only their phone number. Is there a fix for this or is this how this operating system works?
