I can't sign into my email account even though it doesn't usually ask me for password. What do I do?

I have never had a problem with my email but today it asked for password, but won't accept it. Someone sent me an email earlier today with an holiday confirmation. To get it, I had to go into iCloud which I also couldn't do, but since then I cannot get into my emails. Please help. I am getting really stressed with this now.
