Maps dont search the same on Aa vs native phone

If I'm using my Google maps just on my phone I can ask to find a specific place like the name of a restaurant. When I'm in AA and ask the same for the same place it doesn't find it. In the car I can only ask for genic things this gas, or food. Why is this? It seem like it's not using my phone's search engine
