Artist "Madness" gets changed to "The Madness"

Been trying to find out why when I transfer music to my Xperia XA1 (phone storage or SD Card) the band Madness it gets changed to The Madness and also some show as Unknown Artist. I know the tags are correct as I've checked. Any idea why this is happing?
