Can I get back deleted texts on my Huawei P Smart

I've deleted a text from a number which I need. I've been to Huawei and Vodafone but they say they can't do it. I've been searching tools online but getting nowhere. Is there any way to do this? I don't have an SMS backup tool on the phone as far as I'm aware although I've found backup to Google on showing SMS text messages. Thanks
