Note 8 New apps i download are not showing up in the apps screen

I have a Note 8 and when I download apps from the play store they do not go on my app screen. I can search for them and find it and if I make them go to the home screen the icon is there but if I remove from home screen it still does not show in the apps screen. I have cleared the cache from recovery which when I powered it on from that the 1st app I downloaded showed up but after that it didn't. I really do not want to do a factory reset. Someone please help
