DHCP Client not assigning the Auto IP

Hi,

I am trying to connect to a Router which is not having the DHCP server . Since the DHCP server is not running in the Router, the DHCP client will not be able get the IP address . As I know, if there is no DHCP server in the network the DHCP client should assign an Auto IP in the series 169.254 according to the Zeroconf logic. But this is not working. The DHCP client is getting timed out and connection is getting reset. I am using the DHCP client version 5.2.10.
Does the Google DHCP client support the Zeroconf?
If DHCP client supports how to enable the Auto IP ?

My Phone Isn't Saving Pictures

My on-screen keyboard will not open in a group message after Pie / One UI update on note 9

My on-screen keyboard (SwiftKey is default but it is the same issue for Samsung stock and gboard) will not open when clicking the text field in an existing group text. I can create a new group text with the same people to get it to launch in the existing message and reply from the notification, but no matter what I try it refuses to open my keyboard in the existing text. It will open on texts to single people. I rebooted and wiped my partition. I upgraded to pie tonight and that's when it started.

Partial changes to Android messages?

So I noticed on some messages (both individuals and groups) you can see the other user typing as indicated with three little dots. You can also see who had read the message. Why does this only happen with some messages. To add to my curiosity I'm in a group message with some friends but today a new group message appeared when one of us texted the rest as we normally would. The old group is still there with history but this new one has the read receipts, typing indicator, and for some reason uses each members full name. Why is this?

Unlocked Pixel 3 on Verizon Cannot send SMS messages over 160 characters

Stumped and at a loss for words. Been with Google and Verizon support for over 4 hours today to try and fix this. Wasn't doing this when I first got my Pixel 3 like 3-4 weeks ago.

Basically, I cannot send SMS with characters over 160 characters. In the message details I get an error code 65536 which I assume it means it left the device successfully but failed to be delivered. Weird thing is, some contacts can get the 160+ messages but still have the error code.

Can please help? I can provide almost any info to help resolve this

Settings Crashes When Opening Sound & Notification

I have a BQ Aquaris E5, and every time I try to open Sound & Notification on the Settings, the app crashes. I've tried clearing the cache + data and doing a factory reset and it still doesn't work. Inbound text from single contact not shown in Messages app ons Samsung S4

I am able to send text messages to my husband, but when he responds, I am unable to see the message in the messaging app. Can see it under logs - all messages, but only shows the first line of the inbound message. I have a Samsung S4, and have verified it's not a blocked or rejected #. No issues with other contact from either Android or iPhone. Could it be a setting on his iPhone 6?

Samsung S9 echo problems

Entering number like credit cArd display correctly but the dialer inputting twice or certain digit

Note9 silent notifications since update

My Note9 updated today to the new android operating system, Android 9 or whatever it's called. Anyhow, since it updated the only notification sounds I'm getting are from text notifications. All other apps just vibrate and use Edge lighting. I checked and all apps are set to make sound so I'm not sure what's going on. Everything was fine until the update today. Any idea of what happened or how to fix this? Is anyone else having this issue since the update?

Nextbook tablet death black screen

I have this nextbook tablet lenovo intel 10 The power is on i even hear sounds but no display on the monitor at all. When i try to turn it on it powers up but no display at all. Nest Doorbell app playback issue

I was wondering if any knows of a compatibility issue with the Nest doorbell app and OnePlus 6t. Time laspe video replay won't scroll. When you start to sroll the screen goes black when you stop it shows the time when you stop when you scroll forward or back instead of watching time lapse the screen goes black again. Tmobile nor Nest have any solution. No issues with srolling in nest app on I phone, Samsung S5,s7 or S8.
I am searching for answers. I had bought the phone outrite. Enjoy the phone except for this problem.

Files show up as empty folder on PC

Hi, whenever I connect my phone to PC, the files don't show up as files anymore but an empty folder, say, a work.pdf file would show up as a folder named work.pdf on PC, however using file commander on my phone I can view the file just fine, but I can't copy anything out from my phone because of this issue, I have no idea when it first happened, anyone can help? (my pictures mp4s are not affected by this issue suprisingly)

Latest Oppo r11 update reverts Nova Launcher to default launcher

Hi,

After applying the latest Oppo "CPH1707EX_11_A.21_181228" update to my Oppo R11 it seems to most of the time revert Nova Launcher back to the default system launcher.

I have ColorOS 3.1 installed.

I have tried uninstalling Nova Launcher, cleared the default and all files and after a little while of having Nova Launcher installed it reverts it back to the default launcher.

I find myself constantly having to go install the "App Management -> Default App -> Home Sceen" and change it back to Nova Launcher.

Would anyone please know a fix to this issue.

Music over Bluetooth playing with phone call quality

When I connect a Bluetooth device (headphones, speaker, car audio system) to play music, the audio quality is often absolutely horrible at first, as if you'd hear it through a phone call. Sometimes it changes back to higher quality audio after some time, but often I have to deactivate "Call audio" temporarily under the device settings for the connected device. You can then see a small popup "call ended" and the audio quality goes up to a normal level ("Media audio" is turned on all the time and on my headphones I'm also using LDAC, but the problem still arises). You can't see a phone call happening or something else special while the problem arises, just this short popup when it changes back to normal.

I could just leave "call audio" off all the time, but I never had to do this before this issue appeared and since I often use my headphones to make phone calls that's a bit annoying.

This started happening about two months ago, and I would not remember having made an update or any other changes in the settings around that time. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S8 with android version 8.0.0. Everything is up do date.

Has anybody had the same problem or could imagine a fix for this other than changing the "call audio" setting each time?

Help would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much!

Why did ok google stopped working randomly

I went to say "ok google" earlier today and the google assistant didn't pop up, even though I set it up and did voice matching without turning anything off. I tried to fix it, and when I went into Voice Input, I tried switching it off Google and onto Basic Google Recognition, thinking I could turn it off and back on. Well, now the Google button is greyed out and it wont let me select it as an option, so when I go into Voice Match, the Access with Voice Match is greyed out as well as the Unlock with Voice Match. I dont know what to do. I can still talk to the assistant when manually clicking the microphone, and I have microphone permissions turned on, so I dont know what to do. Please help!

Google navigation apk and EONON 7135a

Hello

I'm facing a glitch to the google map application on my car's multimedia android "EONON 7135a". More specific when i open the application the gps tracking just fine and the search of road or other interested places are ok. However when i'm going to aks driving direction and the app passes to the googla navigation interface the it stucks cause the app to stope anf the pop up window for give a report have been raised.

I have asked from the EONON for solution and already i am ugraded as regarding the software of the tablet/multimedia. I have arrased all cashe data from the car app, tried to log in as another user or even witout singing in with no success. In all case when the navigation app of the google starts momentarily crashes.

In my mobile devises (2 samsung mobiles and 1 lenovo tablet)

constant Ads

Galaxy S7 -ever since the recent update i get full page adds that pop up right in the middle of texting or dialing a call. some make me wait 5 seconds before i can X out. this is horrible. i tried a popup ad blocker but didn't work. Verizon rep said this is from Samsung for their new marketing. i'll go to iphone if that's how they annoy customers. any ideas how to stop these or even is that possible?

T-Mobile - Nobody receiving my text - No Solutions From Tech Support

Has anybody had this issue: SMS Not Sending. After over 10 years with T-Mobile it may be time to switch carriers. After 10+ hours on the phone with tech support via phone calls and chatting nobody is still receiving my text messages even though they say sent. After hours, tech support said it was my phone after assuring them it was not (because I put family members SIM card in and texting worked fine) despite this logic they insisted I get a new phone to resolve the issue. Against all logic I bought a new $600 phone as predicted this did not solve the problem and they offered a whooping $50 credit for my new phone. The very nice rep at the store tried for over an hour to resolve issue with Tech Support with no success. The most frustrating part is that I am on my 3rd trouble ticket number. Once the trouble ticket gets escalated above regular tech support someone closes it out without confirming with me that it has been resolved. I am now on my 3rd trouble ticket #22254690 (In case you are reading T-Mobile). The very nice reps keep promising me that it will be resolved and not to worry. Very difficult running my business with people not receiving my text messages. Have checked every menu and setting on both phones, have tried 3 new SIM Cards and one new phone. Nobody at T-Mobile knows how to solve the problem.

I only seem to see options to view the text on my phone or send my location details to the sender as well as adding as a new contact. Any help/advice would be really appreciated.

Why is my phone switching off by itself even after charging?

Well, my problem is more serious. Once it's turned off it will never turn on again. When I put it back to charge it shows 84% even if it gets switched off at 25%. And also, none of the chargers work on the phone, unless I move the charger point a little upwards. And the serious part is, once I plug it in and switch it on, it will open the home screen and again turn off by itself! It's annoying. Please help.

My Samsung J7 won't start after a drop

Hi everyone,
At first I had issues with apps being crashed from time to time when working with the phone. Then after dropping it, I would start it normally and for about 10 to 15 seconds it shuts down, or freezes which lead me to force starts it. I thought it was a system crash and after many tries(won't give any sign of power) to get to recovery mode, I drain device from electricity and would get a blue screen showing "No command", but mysteriously It randomly booted in recovery mode where I did make a factory reset. The phone rebooted but after 1 min it did shut off. I can no longer power it on no more and it will randomly power up and show "custom binary FRP lock" then shuts off immediately and I can't restart it after that. I opened the back cover, disassembled it then put it back again and I would get an error saying "custom binary FRP lock" and it shuts off and can't power it off since then.

Please help if you have any idea on how I can fix my phone!

APKs won't install, why?

Heyy there! For a few days now, every time i try to downlaod an apk, either play store or from the internet, it gives me an error. It downlaods the apk, but doesn't install it. Google Play as well as the packet installer for apks can't install my apps, it gives me an error in both cases. Unknown sources is activated, and updating existing apps from the play store works. What can it be? What could i do?

Problems with Prestigio Multipad Rider 7.0 3G

Hi, I have a Prestigio Multipad Rider 7.0 3G and it has a problem with the settings.
I am browsing 2 days already on a fix for that but I have found nothing so far... The error code is: Settings has stopped working, that is everytime when I try to launch settings or anything related to the settings tab.
So far I have tried resetting the phone through recovery(Nothing changed), Wiping Cache(still nothing), Trying to reinstall ROM from SD card and ADB shell and all I get is a command error: Installation aborted on around 30-40% of the installation process. Has anyone had a problem like this before or has some ideas on what can I do further.
P.S The rom I am trying to flash i beleive that is not the original, I have contacted Prestigio support for the original Firmware, but I havent received an answer yet.

Downloaded themes not centering correctly...

Hello,

First time posting. I looked for an answer to my issue on my Note 9. saw some things somewhat similar but not the answers I was looking for. Looks like every theme I download from the Samsung theme store downloads correctly with the exception of the homepage screen, always shifted to the right, some not so bad, others really bad. What setting, if there is one, can be used to ensure themes are centered on my homepage?

Anything I download goes to Download Paused. I works when my storage is Internal, but my SD card cant download through the browser. My SD card works well with the camera app and others. When I click resume download, it either goes to pause again or disappears. S9+. It also works on Chrome but I find the Stock app faster. I've just updated to Android Pie and I already tried to delete cache.

What do I do if my Nexus 5 has not OS and no Firmware

torch light wont turn off, camera wont work while camera is already in use.

my phone camera will not work because it says something else is running which is using the camera (to my knowledge there is nothing i am using). when i turn the torch on the front light comes on, when i turn it off back light comes on. the only way to turn light off is by restarting phone. could the torch be permanently running in my phone causing camera not to work? can i remove torch from phone? what else could be using phone camera?

Syncing Google Account on Galaxy S5 in preparation for transfer to a new phone

I finally got a new phone to replace my S5, but I've been trying forever (okay, about an hour) to sync my phone with Google Drive. It shows that some of the items, such as contacts and calendar, have synced, but a number of the other ones have the sync symbol next to them. I assume it's still syncing because if I go into the menu, I have the option to stop sync.

Is this normal or should I try to find a different way to sync my phone. This is the method recommended by my carrier. Do I need free space in order to sync?

Compatible SD cards for Galaxy S5. Can we use SDXC cards?

Hi,
I bought a Samsung microSDXC UHS-I EVO Plus 64GB card to use with my Galaxy S5 but it does not fit the microSD slot. This SD card is too small. I contacted Samsung support and they said SDXC cards will not fit a Galaxy S5 but I have seen reviews online where people have reviewed SDXC cards with the Galaxy S5. Samsung support said to only use micro SD cards?? They say the S5 is compatible up to 128GB but I have not seen a Samsung SD card that is not SDXC above 32GB.

So I am asking what SD card is definitely compatible with the Galaxy S5 preferably 64GB but 32GB would be ok too.

I bought the phone in the UK but I will be buying the SD card in Malaysia. I don't think this should make a difference.

Thanks in advance for any inputs as I am now quite confused about what I can buy.

Why does my internet keep disconnecting?

I have a ZTE N9560 running Android 7.1.1 and the internet keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. While it's disconnected it says that it's saved and then automatically reconnects after less than 15 seconds. People say to go to Wi-Fi then advanced and turn off a setting but I don't have that option. All I can press is Install Certificates, Wi-Fi Direct, WPS Push Button, WPS Pin Entry, or Passpoint. How to keep app badge number but clear notifications Galaxy S8?

I like being able to see how many unread items are in my apps. I also enjoy getting notifications for new items.

What I want to stop is when I clear my notifications all of the app badges reset to zero, even though I haven't opened the app yet.

My Long Messages Wont Convert to MMS

So I have been using the stock Andriod messaging app for some time now on my Moto G5 plus. I have been having some issues with my messaging. I wouldn't receive some messages, some couldn't send, etc. So I did a factory reset my phone, no problem. Most of the messaging problems have gone away except that to one specific person long messages will not send. The issues seem to be they will not convert to MMS because when I send the text with a picture, subject, or emoji, the text will send. All of my MMS settings seem to be on? Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thank you!

How can I switch cameras on a Google Pixel 2 during a video?

Connect PS3 Controller via OTG Cable

How can I retry my phone number transfer to Fi?

I just bought a refurbished (unlocked) Pixel 2. I am trying to join a family member's Google Fi plan. I've been invited and have joined, I think. I'm transferring my number from Verizon to Fi. However, I mis-entered information from my Verizon plan, which may have been my account number or pin number or address. Regardless, the Google Fi App is telling me that the number did not transfer. In the Fi app, if you go to Manage plan, it tells you the name of your device (Google Pixel 2), and below that my phone number. If I click on my phone number, it gives me more details. It says "Number transfer in progress, but it also says "(Transfer error)" after the number. Google has a support post about this, but all it says is "you'll get another chance to enter your information." Where? I've tried turning it off and on again. There's no button anywhere from the Fi app, or anywhere else that I can see. Does anyone know how to re-enter my Verizon information to try transferring my number to Fi again? Thank you.

how to upload whole folders to Google drive

I wish to upload whole folders to Google Drive in as quick and efficient manner as possible. Some of these folders contain subfolders which in turn contain files. The files are photos, music, pdfs, documents etc. The size of the folders is considerable - several GBs each.

I have plenty of room on Drive (100GB) for this purpose. When I look on the internet for info it only yields explanations about how to upload a limited number of files.

My Huawei y336 u02 doesn't go beyond android system recovery even after wiping and wiping

My Huawei phone's got a problem I don't understand.
Whenever I switch it on the normal way, it vibrates the comes on. After showing the logo, it goes off and comes on by itself only to go to "Android recovery mode". My tablet is stuck in fastboot. How do i get it out?

My Huawei Mediapad S8-301L is stuck in fastboot and I can't get it out of it. When I power the tablet on it says: "Entering into fastboot mode. Moto z droid not connecting property to android auto

Can not get any phone audio to come through the car system by either blue tooth connection or through Android Auto USB system.
I have worked with Subaru techs, Verizon techs, both local and via phone and Motorola techs. The Motorola tech said call Google. He thinks it maybe the Oreo update causing the issue.
Anyone else having this issue.
We can make a call, but we do not hear the ring thru the car and when the person answers they can not hear us and we can not hear them on thru the car or on the phone. If someone calls us we ring the ring through the car but can not hear the person. We can get text. The contacts are listed. Everything seems connected but no audio period.

Neck exercise pop up countdown

Probably 10 times a day my Galaxy Note 8 will start counting down. Sometimes I can see why, and hit skip but I want it to stop completely. It keeps popping up with this reminder telling me to do neck stretches. It counts down with a ticking sound then after 20 seconds or so, it makes a chime sound. I haven't found anything online about it and nothing in the S Health app shows any notifications. Please someone help.

Deleted my OS on Samsung On5, no backup!

Alright, so i got a phone from a friend a couple of weeks ago and he had customized it to be faster. He deleted a lot of the original apps (maps, calculator, etc.) . I decided to try to factory reset it and in doing so i ended up wiping everything, including the os. It takes me to teamwin every time i hold down power home and volume up, and i have no backup. How can i install another os to my phone?? I have been reading articles but i cant find out how do download an os to my phone. i have an sd card, but what websites could i go to to install the os?

Note 4 stopped syncing.

Why does my Wallpapers app crash every time I take a picture?

So I use Google's Wallpapers app for both home and lock screen. It used to work just fine until a couple months ago.

I noticed that every time I used the Camera app to take a picture, Wallpapers would crash and the background image would go back to the one that came with the phone, you know the one with the coloured feathers...

It's not a big deal but it's pretty annoying always having to reset Wallpapers after taking pics.

How to turn off "mobile data turn-off" notification

I have a Samsung note 9 and whenever I try to turn off mobile data a notification pops up that says I "will not be able to access the internet or anything that requires mobile connection". I have seen similar threads for older phones before. I would like to clarify that it is not like a normal notification. It is a pop-up window that I need to interact with in order to do anything with the phone.

can't sign in to google after recovery

i recovered my old HTC 10 and now i can't sign in to google on setup.
it asks for my google login but when i enter my password it just goes back to the beginning and asks for my e-mail/phone no. again.

there was only ever one google acct attached to that phone and it's the same account i use now, so the details i'm entering are correct.

i'm not even getting any security alerts from google to say someone is trying to access my account.

any ideas?

My cousin and I have the same phone - Samsung Galaxy S5. He just came back from a trip overseas where he used the Galaxy S5 with a sim from his father

When he got back home, he put his original sim into his phone and the phone says Sim Card not detected. But when he put his sim into my phone it works perfectly. When I put my sim into his phone, my sim card is detected by his phone.

Wanting to back up SD card and copy files

I have a Lenovo Tab 4 with Android 8.1.0 and a 64Gb SD card formatted as internal storage. I wanted to upgrade the card to 128 and thought I'd copy all the files from one card to another. While the folders (particularly the 'Android' system folder) show up in my browser when I copy them to my PC they show up as empty.
I have a lot of downloads from mapping apps, Scribd books and Mendeley papers that I couldn't point to an external SD card, hence the need to upgrade.
Is there anyway to copy 'system'files from Android to PC and onto a new SD card?

Google Pixel Phone App problem. Crashes when making/receiving a call

Hi all,

I have Google Pixel 1- Sailfish-128 GB. I am having problems with using the Phone app functionality. When I am receiving any call and I answer it, the phone app crashes and the phone is not usable. Entire system UI crashes and the only option I have is pressing the power and volume down button to force shut it down. Same thing happens when I place any outgoing call through phone app or making/receiving call on any 3rd party apps like Whatsapp, Instagram etc.. I have tried factory reset from settings, Resetting from recovery.. but nothing helps.
Phone works somewhat fine as long as there is not outgoing/incoming calls.

I have not found any solutions for this so far.
P.S: My phone is not under warranty.

Samsung phones: screen turns on when plugging in

This has been bugging me for a long time, sadly I still haven't been able to find a fix. When I plug my Samsung (currently the A8 2018) in for charging, the screen lights up. I have a rather long timeout, so I have to manually turn it off every time.

Is there either a setting I'm not aware of that disables this, or perhaps an app that can intervene?

MotoG4 died today. Advise for Consumer Cellular

My Android G4 died today. I am on Consumer Cellular and happy with both. I want to replace with a moto phone. Looking at Moto g5 plus or moto g6 from Motorola's site a compatibility chart and this:

LG K20 Plus Wont Charge

Yesterday I was using my LG K20 Plus and then the battery ran out.
I charged up to 20% and then my battery ran out again.
I tried charging i again but it didn't charge for some reason.
I assumed it was a problem with the cable so I tried a bunch of chargers and nothing worked.
Then I tried cleaning out the lint in the port and still nothing worked.
My charging port is fine, there's no damage, So I don't see why this doesn't work.
I also tried different power outlets and also tried plugging it into a car or computer.
After hours of research I figured that my lithium battery was completely drained so I tried jump-starting it and then proceeded to buy a new battery to see if it worked and It didn't.
The phone turns on normally, its not on a boot-loop
It just wont charge.
Its also not water damage because I didn't expose it to any type of moisture.
Please Help me
I know the best options would be to buy a new phone or take it to get repaired but
1. I have a lot of important data saved in this phone and there's no backup options enabled.
2. Im too broke to buy a new one or take it to get repaired

Google pixel 2 hacked - help!

Three things have happened:

1. A text I sent my wife was received on her phone with added text in the middle of the sentence about money.

2. When a couple people called me (different time periods), my phone said the call would be recorded, the friends told me. I never signed up for any service that would do that.

3. Just today, someone left a voicemail using my wife's first and last name about a matter of the law that she had texted me a photo of a legal document last night. They said the appointment date had been changed. When we called back the number that left the voicemail it was disconnected. We called the people who made the appointment and they said it wasn't they.

What has happened to my phone? I did a factory reset; will that fix it??

Portrait mode video appears squeezed when sent in Messenger and Viber? Any idea to fix?

So in case I record a portrait mode video on my Samsung S4, and watch it in the gallery, it plays fine. But when I send such a video in Messenger or Viber, it often arrives to the recipent squeezed. What this means is that the frame of the video is still in upward portrait mode, but the video appears in it rotated in 90 degree and squeezed to landscape mode dimensions. And there are cases when the video sent to the recipent plays fine still in portrait mode, but there is no sound.

Do you have any idea how to fix this?

The phone has the latest system update installed and latest version of Messenger.

There are rare occasions when I record a video and in case I want to play it from the gallery it says: "unable to play video". But in case the video is playable from the gallery, then it plays fine, in the mode it was recorded in, with sound.

Just got a Note9 a few weeks ago. Recently, all of my notification sounds have been just one sound even if different things use different sounds. Anyone else know what the problem is?

Can I get band 14 on a Tmobile Note 9

I have a Tmobile carrier model Note 9. I am looking to switch to the AT&T Firstnet system, as I just found out about it. Using *#2263# method I noticed there is no band 14 option which Firstnet relies heavily on. So my question is if I use the tmobile unlock device app will it open up additional bands? If not, is att able to flash it someway to open up band 14?

Hi guus and gals! I have a question about my ZTE Maven 3

Ok, so I have a ZTE Maven 3. Or at least I'm under the impression that I do. I searched the model number and that's what showed up.
Anyway, just recently I took my SD card out of my phone and since then I haven't been able to use my camera. Every time I open it, I get a notice saying, "No external storage available." I've looked on line and tried what people were saying, but none of it worked for me.
So basically, I'm hoping and praying that someone will come across this and will know how to help me.

Chrome showing porn and ee website why?

I don't use chrome browser i use Google, keep finding links to porn and ee and cannot get out of the page. Because I have blocked them it won't allow me to click back out. Keeps saying "allow". I don't know what's going on and don't want to open the sites. There was an ip address but it knows what model of phone im using. What's happening?

My flashlight won't turn on and my battery dies quickly.

I have a Huwawei Y635-L21 and the flashlight won't work when I scroll down the top notification tab thing. I went to the icon on the phone, it shows it's on but it's not, I turn it off and close it then open it again and it's still 'Open'. I tried opening the camera, but It can't open because 'a third party might be open (like a flashlight)', when in reality nothing is open. I don't know what to do, now I can't use my camera and my flashlight won't work.
And when I charge my phone, sometimes it will show it's charging, but the percentage won't rise or would go down then eventually shut down. Then when it is efficiently charged and off the plug, it drains out pretty quick.

How to play android music via stereo

Hello,

I recently switched to the Honor 10 and when I plug my phone via USB into my pioneer stereo I get an error 23 I've read some posts that say androids don't work via that method with car stereos then theres some posts that say you can play music from android phone to stereo via USB. Most the posts are dated years ago has anyone came up with a solution to this problem had I known I probably would have bought another Iphone

Deleting only one side of the text conversation

I have an Lg G7 phone and it deletes only the incoming messages once i hit the limit. The default is 200 messages, so it should, in theory, delete all of the oldest first. Instead it deletes what i received, but leaves what i sent. If i don't manually delete what i sent, it gets to the point where i can't receive more from that person. The same happened with the Lg g6 which makes me wonder if this is a setting issue or a software issue.
