Remote control via internet

Hardware side is pretty simple. I am using a Wi-Fi only tablet running android 4.4. I am not against investing in a newer tablet with newer software. I might get one that has 3G/4G connectivity.

With either the current tablet or, if the replacement does not have 3G/4G, I will be using a wireless hotspot. The tablet will be connected to a camera, some switches, and more. The tablet will have control of the switches, turning the camera on and off, viewing the camera, and more. This part seems to be all set (or at least I think it is).

On the other end, I have an iPhone, Windows computer, or anything else connected to the Internet.

I am familiar with Skype, TeamViewer, VNC. Maybe some others. Here is what I am trying to do:

I wish to call, or Skype, or otherwise create a connection between my phone or computer (prefer phone) and the tablet and be able to control the tablet. I will have a very limited data plan for the tablet or for the hotspot (About 200 megs per month). I believe that if I use TeamViewer, it will continue to connect / transmit all the time. I don't know what kind of data that would use up. As I am typing this I figure I will send an email to their support department to ask. Team viewer, though, would at least let me control the screen.

I am not that familiar with using data devices as telephones. I don't know if calling it would do anything or if it really only matters that it is connected to the Internet.

So, I'm looking for ideas, free or inexpensive apps, and some suggestions that will allow me to connect over the Internet and have control over the other device.

Why does my mate 20 Pro make noticeably loud clicking sounds

I've noticed my phone will make loud clicking sounds sometimes when playing media such as any type of video on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc. It also sometimes makes this clicking sound when clicking send on WhatsApp. Not sure what causes it but I've read that it is a bug. Any way to fix this?

Flash not working properly using 3rd party apps

When using 3rd party apps such as Instagram or snapchat and trying to use the front facing flash, the screen lights up and flashes, but the camera seems to take the image after the light has gone out and ends up capturing nothing at all. Is this an s9 software bug?

Do Not Disturb allowing texts from non-starred contacts

So - I have Do Not Disturb turned on - but want to be able to get sound notifications from my starred contacts. I have the sound on my phone turned on but get sound notifications from ALL contacts. I also have the No Sound from Notifications Turned on. But still get sound notifications from non-starred contacts. Even if I select to Allow no Messages.... sound still plays. Effectively - the new Pie has eliminated DO NOT DISTURB unless I turn the sound on my phone off. Any help would be appreciated.

S9 drops call when connecting to Bluetooth

Just got a S9 when I switched to AT&T. If I'm on a call and get into my truck and try to switch the call to the Uconnect system it hangs up the call. If I start a call when connected to Uconnect and try to transfer it back to the phone and exit the truck it also drops the call. Never had this issue with my s8 on vzw.

I’m unable to get my matricom g-box to recognize my remote.

Galaxy S8 keeps refreshing after notification

Ever since I've bought the Galaxy Watch, my phone has been acting weird. Whenever I receive a notification while using the phone (browsing Facebook, Instagram, watch movies) my phone briefly freezes up and refreshes whichever app I may be using. I am 1000% confident that the Galaxy Watch is the culprit but even after disconnecting the watch (and powering it off), the problems persist.

Any help?

Why my Zenfone 4 max is shutting off when OS start?

I have an Asus Zenfone 4 max (ZC554KL). A couple of days ago I let it drop from about 1 m. It didn't break any visslbe part, but it shutted off and since then, every time I try to turn it on:
1) It turns on the display normally and the Asus and Zenfone logos appear.
2) It begin to load Android OS.
3) It immediatle shows the message "Shutting off", and eventually shut off.

I factory reset it and reinstall the firmware (Version WW-15.2016.1809.412) but the same still happening.

What could be damaged or what else can I do?

Facebook Messenger notification question

If somebody has two separate messenger notifications on their notifications bar, does that mean they are running two messenger accounts? It is a Samsung S9

When I receive multiple messages, they are all under 1 notification.

Unfortunately I cannot post links but it is the messenger notification symbol twice on the notifications bar. I have not been able to replicate this no matter what I try which leads me to think it is two accounts on the same phone.

It's a young relation who has their social media monitored from the PC but we suspect they have a separate account on messenger on their phone that nobody has been able to look at.

Why do I no longer receive push notifications after turning on Ultra Power Saving Mode

I recently turned on Ultra Power Saving mode (for my Samsung Galaxy S9) as I forgot my charger at home on a work trip. After turning UPS mode off, I realized I wasn't receiving any push notifications for any apps. This is especially painful because I need to get Microsoft Outlook notifications every time I get an email. And before you ask, yes I restarted my device and made sure push notifications were turned on :) . What settings/configurations do i need to change in order change this back? Thanks

Newbie looking for help with my Letv x900

During the last EUI update to 5.9 (5.9.028S_03265) it seems the original Download Manager (version 6.0.1) that was installed at the time of purchase got removed and replaced by Letv (Leco) own version, this worked for a while but has now stopped working and this has caused Google Play to stop working and errors with Goggle Play Services, I am trying to re-install the original Download Manager (version 6.0.1 - I think it's from Samsung?) but it will no longer install and the error message points to an incompatible version of Goggle Software, I'm guessing either Play Store or Play Services, can anyone who is running the same EUI (5.9.028S_03265) and still using the original Download Manager (6.0.1) tell me what versions of Goggle Play Services and Google Play Store they have installed and running so I can try and match the versions and try to install Download Manager (6.0.1) again?

Why won't my phone buttons work on android pie? (hang up, speakerphone etc.)

I have a OnePlus 6 phone that has android pie. About half the time I go to hang up a phone call or put it on speakerphone, the buttons don't work. They simply don't respond. The only way I've been able to hang up is to swipe down from the top and end the phone call from there. Is this an android pie bug, and is it possible to fix?

Phone dies after weird behavior; only gets to Odin mode?

Hi,

I have had a lot of problems with my phone (SSG4 Ace).
It all began when it started resetting randomly; it started resetting once or twice a week. I wasn't too worried about it, but then it became more frequent; it got to a point where it'd reset 3 times per day. Battery didn't heat up, or didn't get any message on my phone, prior to restarting. Then, one day, the phone just didn't start anymore: it had a red triangle with a warning sign on the top left. I really hate letting things die, and I try everything I can to fix them; so I rooted my phone using Odin, and reinstalled the operative system. My phone was back to life.

A week later, my phone just started resetting itself again. This time it was an abrupt flood of resettings; it reset about 5 times in 1 hour, then it wouldn't turn on anymore. I'm stuck at the SSG logo; no red triangle, though. It just stays there for hours, until the battery drains out.

I tried a lot of things suggested on these forums, with no avail. So far, my phone behaves as follows:

1) It is stuck at SSG logo.
2) No red triangle.
3) If I plug it to any charging, it gets "stuck" at the symbol of charging; the battery getting filled with "green charge" never pops up, I get the battery with the typical energy symbol in the middle, and doesn't move.
4) Phone will get into Odin mode, and is effectively recognized by the computer and Odin app. I can reinstall the operative system, but it just doesn't look like working.
5) The other combination of keys won't work (volume up - main button - power).
6) Tried using another battery and it didn't work.

That's it. I really hate letting things die, and I'd appreciate any help you could provide. Thanks in advance.

Why does my phone keep rebooting everytime PHONE app is opened?

Hi. My phone (A Galaxy Grand Prime running Android 5.1.1) keeps crashing+rebooting every time I try to open up the PHONE app (to make a call, etc.). I have a feeling it has to do with something I disabled, but I'm not sure. If you're wondering why I have disabled so many particular apps, it has to do with a recent threat to identity theft for me. My Gallery and all its pictures has disappeared off of my phone.

I have a Sonim phone and did an Android update to 5.1.1. The Gallery app that my camera used is now gone. Google Photos has replaced it. But I have lost all the photos in the Gallery. Tether Camera to Save Directly to PC or Drive

I am working on some videos for my home business. I need to create some videos that are longer than usual and as such, am running out of room on my phone's storage device.

Is there a way to upload the file directly to my PC or my Google Drive without first saving it to my phone?

Example: I have 10gb available space on my phone. I am making a video that will take 15gb of space. Can I have it go directly to my PC or Drive without the phone stopping due to lack of available space?

Random Pop up of Google App or sort of thing

I have a Samsung S9+ and lately I have been facing an issue probably due to some android bug.
The problem is that whenever I am using the phone or any application or normal phone use, suddenly a Google logo pops up and I am left with a white screen on my device. Whenever I try to minimize or close, it closes the app with it, the app is not fully shutdown but this bug just throws me out of the app and I have to reopen the app to continue my session. And this same thing happens randomly over and over in a vicinity of every 3-5 minutes.
The pop up is probably from Google App becasue the logo is similar to the app which pops up. This pop up of the app is so annoying and makes me furious.
Please do look into the matter and help me find a solution for the same.

Huawei P20 Pro - Car USB

Does anyone know if it's possible to use the Huawei P20 Pro basically as an MP3 player using my car's USB? I have a Vauxhall Zafria Tourer (64 plate) and previous to switching to Android I could connect my iPhone to my car via the USB lead and car's USB port. This basically turned it into an iPod and let me listen to Spotify etc whilst driving and charging my phone at the same time. My car doesn't support Android Auto.

When I try to do the same with the Huawei it comes up saying that the Phone can not be found.

Any help would be much appreciated.

S pen detection reversal on N920A

Hi all. My S pen is being detected in reverse. When inserted it's detected as detached and vice versa. I suspect a hardware issue as I've already cleared cache, factory reset and even done a stock rom update to nougat. What do you think the issue could be?

Android monthly security updates across various OS versions

Folks,

First time poster here. Were looking to introduce a BYOD program for Android at my job. Currently, we are exclusively an iOS shop for both corp and personally owned devices. The challenge were facing is around security compliance across various carriers, manufacturers, OS versions, and monthly security updates.

My question is this, if an October 2018 security update is provided to two different Android devices, one on 8.x and one on 9.x are both said to be covered from all known vulnerabilities patched with those updates? Or would there potentially be a delta between what is patched between different OS versions (i.e. Oreo vs Pie)?

Apps not showing

lg v40 telephoto lens problem?

So here recently I was messing with my cameras and came accross something. While taking a triple shot, one of my fingers covered up the farthest right cam on the back (screen facing you) and still took a zoom photo which was weird. I then individually covered each lense seperalty and switched through them. Turns out the telephoto lens doesnt turn on when i want to manually zoom. It just digitally zooms with the standard. Is it my phone or is it a bug? Really love this phone too.

Galaxy s6 dead pixels on top of screen

On my galaxy s6 which is only about 2 months old, whenever I use a dark wallpaper on the home screen a strange ghost bar appears at the top as if it had light bleed. However, as soon as I change my wallpaper to something lighter or view the same dark wallpaper in the photos app, the light bleed is gone. Why is the happening and how can I fix it? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

problem with discord and game audio on p20 pro

HI all

i recently got a p20 pro and have been playing pubg, the phone performs well on the phone but when it comes to audio, i am not able to hear the game audio properly when i am connected to discord, i never had this problem on my oneplus 3t.

Is there a solution to this or is it that the phone is built that way?

(Lg v40) why my phone doesnt use the optical zoom?

So i recently been messing around with the camera a lot and came across a problem. When I change from wide angle to standard you can see its using the intended lens. But when i change to the optical zoom it doesnt switch and it just digitally zooms with the standard lense. Not sure what's going on and its lame its only using 2 out of the 3 sensors.

Galaxy Note 4 freezing/shutting down

My galaxy note 4 has begun freezing randomly. More times than not, the screen will go black. Efforts to restart the phone sometimes will not work...nothing. Three button method to get it back up is often required. Other times while just sitting, "downloading do not turn off target" will appear and not go off. I've done many of the recommended things, including factory reset. The problem still persists. This problem did NOT come about after a software upgrade but is it possible rooting the phone will resolve this issue or should I consider something more drastic like a motherboard replacement? Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Shutdown problem

I am using Coolpad note 3 lie .
My phone shutdown very often.
When I power on , it shows only Coolpad logo.
So I reinstalled the stock ROM but after some hours it shutdowed.
I have to reinstall the ROM Everytime it shutdown.
I tried MIUI , pixel ROMs but the problem is not resolved
This is so irritating.

The top half of my droid turbo 2's screen is off.

Not just black, off. Not after a drop (it hasn't been through ANY harsh drops), not after water exposure, not after using some weird app, I was simply in the middle of a text and bam, half the screen is gone. The touch factor seems to be working, I can swipe on the home screen but I cant see anything at all. This phone has been on my nerves since I got it 2 years ago, the ringer not going off when the volume is up, random bug reports when there are no crashes or bugs to report, etc. This is the last straw. I have a heart condition for Pete's sake and I need to be able to dial 911 should my arrhythmias get bad BUT I CANT SEE THE TOP ROW OF NUMBERS. Any help would be appreciated as I am far from tech savvy, as I am old and without children. Thanks.

Using ethernet mode only, with a gigabit USB-C to ethernet adapter (Tab S4)

Hello guys,
I am planning on buying the Galaxy Tab S4, 256 GB wifi only.

However I only use with my iPAD adapters that make the ethernet mode available. In the iPAD I can then put the device in airplane mode or simply disable wi-fi completely.

I was told first the Tab S4 would require these two adapters to work with ethernet mode:

#1 Ableconn - USB to Ethernet - USB2E100B (available in Amazon)
#2 AmazonBasics USB Type-C to USB 3.1 Gen1 Female Adapter

Probably something to do with #1 's chipset.

However no one explained to me the following:

1) If I buy any USB-C to ethernet gigabit adapter (to get gigabit speeds) will they work with the Tab S4?

2) Does it need to be powered or will it work simply after I plug it to the Tab S4 USB-C port? In the iPAD the gigabit adapter needs me to connect to a USB 3.0 camera adapter from Apple, and in this same USB 3 adapter I need to plug a 2nd cable to power the thing. There's another combo (2 adapters) for the iPAD, but it's not gigabit.

When it's not gigabit the max speeds inside your own network is 12 MB/s. Very slow.

When it's gigabit (will require at least CAT 5-E ethernet cable + a wi-fi router) it can reach 100, 120 MB/s. Very fast. I use for streaming (PC to iPAD) or sending files, such as Blu-rays and 4K content.

This is an example of USB-C to ethernet (gigabit) adapter:

The question is... will this thing work (and in gigabit speeds) with the Tab S4?

If it works may I disable wi-fi/put in airplane mode and will continue working?

I realize I also need to ask this kind of question to the company that makes these adapters... but they haven't replied yet and it's likely they don't know the answer.

The reason I want ethernet is due to EMF pollution, RF radiation.

I can't find a video file that I downloaded to my phone

I have a LG AS330 phone running Android 5.1.1. I just downloaded a Youtube video from www.youtubnow.com. At the top of the video, it shows the video location on my phone as: file:///storage/emulated/0/1. I cannot find this location on my phone. HTC M9 Battery Replaced / Now SIM card not recognized

I have a 2 year old HTC M9 and we replaced the battery tonight. Got it all put back together, works like a charm. Only problem is the SIM card isn't being recognized. Phone keeps turning wifi and 4g off and on again

I own a Moto G5S Plus, and it frequently keeps turning wifi and 4g off and on again. Its like it goes in and out of airplane mode and the phone has to connect to both of them again.
It happens as frequently as a few times a day, at least when i'm using it. Don't know if it happens when its not being used.

Yes, it has fell a couple of times, but i've always had a bumper case and it never showed any problems beside this.

Is it possible that its a software problem and not hardware ? I sure hope so...

Deleted or non delivered messages

So far it's only happened with messages that are incoming to me, its happened twice too so I cant say for sure it happens all the time. First time my brother was returning a reply to me, I happened to be using my phone looking online when the message came in and I caught a glimpse of his reply from the top incoming part. When I went to the conversation me and him were having, his reply was nowhere in sight, as if hed rever replied. I asked him if he had sent a reply because I seen it come in and he said he did, i told him it wasnt in our conversation and so i asked if he had deleted the reply but said he hadn't. I thought that was really weird. I had seen the message come through but when I went back to the conversation it wasnt there. Second time I was on my phone again and seen that someone had sent an image through text, same way which is the little notification drop down text or whatever, i quickly went to the conversation and for about 4 seconds its said the image was downloading and then it just disappeared as if it the image was never sent. Gone.
The two times its happened it's also been with two separate people who both own different devices, one owns a Note 9 and the other thr iPhone 8.

How to stay in App when Waking up from Sleep Mode?

I have a Astro Tab A935 android tabet. I am trying to use it as family information hub. It is used exclusively to view an app that show's the family's calendar and the weather. However, after going into sleep mode (from within the app), the tablet wakes up at the home screen and then I have navigate back to the app. I would like to have the tablet wake up directly in the app with no additional steps. Does anyone know how to make this happen?

Sound issues on google pixel

My pixel(original) has been working fine untill the past few weeks. The microphone only works during calls people can hear me fine on the phone however I can't access the Google assistant with my voice my videos have no sound and I can't record voice messages. Also unless the phone has just been powered on wired headphones don't work, and if the headphones are working after you turned the phone on, after about 10 minutes the volume keeps randomly turning down no matter how much I turn it up, or sometimes they just stop working altogether.
Can anyone help
I'm using Android 9.0
PS: the volume thing hasn't happened with wired car speakers.

Old iTunes library is somehow synced to my Galaxy S5 and cannot be deleted

11 GB of device storage are being used up by songs and podcasts I had stored in iTunes over 15 years ago. I've never installed iTunes on my Android device nor on the laptop that I've connected this phone to. When I go to the 'Storage' settings on my device, select these files and then select delete, it always comes up with the message, 'Failed to delete'. I'm at a loss as to how these files appeared on my phone. I even installed iTunes on my laptop today to see if I could delete these files from my iTunes library but they're no longer there. But they are somehow on my phone.

Android Auto error - all the time

HI there i have a new 2018 Mitsubishi Triton with Android Auto, as well as the new Samsung S9+, however i keep getting the error when using the command "Call" android auto always gives me the error "the internet connection is not stable at the moment". This happens even though i have full 4G internet coverage and sometimes it gives the error even when pushing the button to talk... However it will gladly tell me the weather in my current area or any area for that matter when i ask it... Strange...

Can't change lockscreen wallpaper

I recently got an HTC Desire 610 as a gift and I can't figure out how to change the lockscreen wallpaper. The official 610 manual I found online says its a feature and tells me to go to 'Settings > Personalize > Lock screen wallpaper', but when I go to Personalize there's no "Lock screen wallpaper" option.

There's no option to set the Lock screen wallpaper through the Gallery, either. I'd rather not have to install an app just to get a custom wallpaper for my lock screen too, since I rather like the stock lock screen.

I looked all over for an answer but I couldn't fine one so I'm hoping asking myself will help. :-)

What can I do to figure out what is happening with my phone and how can i fix it?

I have an LG X Charge the phone usually runs fast and fine but the past few days it has gotten very slow and also acting as if I have no signal for a short period then starts acting fine again. Why is my battery draining so fast it goes Dead in Minutes ?

I have an Android Tablet I Charge the Battery Completely then within Minutes of use the battery goes Dead so then I have to Recharge it .

This is a continues Cycle .

Samsung Cloud - lost notes

Hey!

One month ago lots of notes from the Samsung Notes app disappeared and never came back. Still can't figure out how that happened.

Currently there are 400 notes saved locally on my device.
Samsung Cloud says about a month ago around 700 notes have been synchronised.

My question is how I can rescue this data. A backup was never made.

Pixel xl unable to unlock or reset after security patch

Hey everyone,

Let me start by saying im an android developer and feel kinda lost at the moment. Historically I have flashed custom roms and unbricked bad flashes on devices. However, the most recent security patch bricked my device. I am unable to put in my pattern on the lock screen, the touch events do not register after the 4th dot is touched in the pattern sequence.

The Drive is encrypted, play services are not active which prevents me from resetting it from the android device manager.

Things I have tried,
1) adb does not work since the device is not authorized considering the device has not been unlocked with a pattern after a restart which happened upon installing the update.
2) erase from android device manager which does not work coz play services are not running and signed up with my account.
3) get into recovery mode which give me no command.

Unless there is a way to get the phone into download mode somehow, then perhaps we can flash the original OS back on there but for now, i am unable to do anything with the device.

Is there a way to solve this problem? Happy to work with anyone that has questions or suggestions on things to try. The phone is a brick at this point from my perspective since it is completely locked down.

Why ain't my note 9 charging wireless when it says it is.

Whenever i try to charge my note 9 on a wireless charger the promt shows up that it's charging and it also says in the top right corner. But after a while it has gone down in power. And the problem isn't that it isn't charging, when it's off it's charging all though slowly. I have tried the normal removal of case, restart phone.

Snapchat/Spotify Issues

I have a Google Pixel. When I try to take a video snapchat will consistently give me errors. I never get notification badges, snapchat will freeze as I try to take the video, and when I try to watch the video it will only playback black and then the app will crash, other times the app will give me a 'video recording failed' message. The only way I have found to fix this is by restarting in safe mode then restarting again, but sometimes even that takes a few iterations. I have 128gb of storage and have plenty of storage space. I have tried clearing the cache, restarting the phone, and uninstalling and re-installing on multiple occasions.

Why is my phone not filling in my info automatically anymore?

How do I maintain keyboard display when switching pages or fields?

Hello, using Android 4.1.2 on some Symbol TC55s at work and the different phones act differently.
We interact with our Warehouse Management System through the Chrome browser, not an app. On some phones when you switch the keyboard to numbers, fill the field, and then go to a new field on the same page (or a new page) it will keep the keyboard on the number input. This is preferred.
On other phones, it will revert back to letter input. And on some phones it will close the keyboard until you tap the field again (even though the cursor is already in the field).
I'm looking for whatever settings will control this behavior so I can have consistency across our devices.

Galaxy S7 Screen freezes on wakeup until I hit the back button

If I press the power button to turn my screen off, and then press it again to turn the screen back on, everything lights up but is totally unresponsive to touch. I have to press the back button, and then everything starts functioning again. This occurred a couple months ago, and continues even with this latest update. Reboot doesn't help. No recent apps added. Any tips? Thx!

Help me stop 'System UI Stopped' message

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 and for a while ... months ... I've had this annoying 'System UI stopped' message pop up over all of whatever is running on my phone, including Google Maps (which is incredibly dangerous while I'm driving). I have looked up how to get rid of this message and have tried many things, but nothing helps. I heard that this was an issue a couple of years ago as well and was a system exception error that was ultimately fixed. My phone recently updated to Android 8.0.0, but seems to have no further updates in the cue. Has this been fixed in later Android updates and I haven't gotten them yet? I have T-Mobile as my carrier. Thank you for any help you can give me.

LG G7 eating through LTE data like crazy

I recently just got an LG G7 and noticed that the phone is using a crazy amount of LTE data for very basic things. If i'm browsing on chrome, it uses up 3-5mb of data a minute for simple web browsing on the typical sites that I visit (mostly forums). I thought it was a chrome issue, until I tried mozilla firefox, where the phone used up 16mb in 3 min for simple webpage browsing!

Any idea what gives?

Can't find a file downloaded from utorrent!!!

I've downloaded a 830mb video file along with other files from utorrent.
I can find every file other than that particular 830 mb file by any file explorer.
That file doesn't show up in any apps
Google files go
Mx player
Vlc player
Stock file manager

But it occupies the space in the internal storage.

While trying to clean up space I've found that file showing up in large files section of google files go.

Notification window disappears

2015 Motorola Droid Turbo. I've been getting notifications that internal storage is full. I've deleted some apps and data, but more recently I've been notified that Messaging storage is full, and I won't get texts. I've never used Messaging, as I use Message + instead. I still get texts on that, though I get an annoying "text rejected" notification from Messaging. As I was reviewing my storage data, I discovered that all of my text messages were stored in both apps. How can I delete the data from Messaging? It looks like I can't uninstall it from the phone.

Glitched contact?

I can't reply to one of my contacts, I have to open a new reply, type their name, and reply that way. All my other contacts are fine. I've tried deleting and readding the number, I've tried deleting all conversations and contacts, resyncing Google contacts, a factory reset... I don't know what else to do.

This will get confusing so from now on the contact I'm having the reply issue with will be referred to as Contact A, the other who might be somehow related to the issue is Contact B

When I deleted Contact As number and got her to text me, it came up with two numbers in the name, the first one was another contact, Contact B, who should have no relation to Contact A, the second was Contact As number. I have no idea how two numbers are on the same contact line, but they are.

Contact B was causing issues beforehand, her name was appearing in my contacts multiple times, enough that I had to scroll pretty hard to get past it. Naturally I deleted Contact B and readded, with no duplication issue following that.

I'm sorry if this is confusing, I've been holding off for ages because it is such a strange issue and hard to explain but I am sick of it at this point. Please if anyone can help I will be grateful.

Is anybody's galaxy watch counting the steps properly?

Mine is not counting short walks, ie. walks of less than 15 to 20 steps, like moving around in the kitchen, or at work...
A lot of people is reporting it and Samsung's customer service has told me to take the watch to a service centre, but some people are saying that taking it to the service centre hasn't fixed the issue.
I don't want a "brand new" refurbished watch anyway and I am trying to work out whether it might be a software or a hardware issue.

Accidentally input Hindi, cannot read, cannot return to English...?

At a very early stage on my brand new Pocophone F1 with Android 8.1.0, I've set the input language to (what I believe to be) Hindi, and I can't read anything at all. I want all to go back to English...
Could some one guide me through a screen sequence, perhaps showing the visuals of the icons, enabling me to identify the input zones and choose the correct options.
To the best of my knowledge, the phone should still be in region "Belgium"....

Live time speech recognition

Hello I want to implement voice commands into my app and I need:
- dynamically create hotwords (from xml for example)
- display on screen String associated with this hotword (also definied in xml)
- run it as a service
- make it run all the time, without user have to press the button etc.
- possibly easiest implementation, that don't require lot of code
- receive voice over Bluetooth headset

S Health food logging moves to incorrect days? Galaxy Watch + Note 8

After some time, my food logs will seem to randomly move days. The strange thing is it is only partial portions of the day log - for example, breakfast will just move to tomorrow at random.

Obnoxious phone issues, help?

Hello there!

I currently have the Galaxy s7, and was hoping that someone could help with some issues I've been having with it recently.

For starters, the audio turns itself up and down without me touching it. I've checked behind the phone case to see if anything had gotten stuck near the audio buttons, but to no avail.

The Google Assistant. Alright, so I have the Assistant disabled currently, but the notification "Your Google Assistant is ready to help you get things done." pops up on the screen nearly every time I'm on the phone. It gets pretty annoying.

Videos pausing/closing out by themselves. Occasionally when I'm trying to watch YouTube or videos off of Google, the apps will close out of themselves or pause themselves. This one isn't as obnoxious as the others, but any help is appreciated.

Sorry if I didn't describe anything too clear in this article, but I'll answer any questions you have to the best of my ability.

What is odd is the phone will charge quickly using a USB-C when connected to the LG cradle (which is connected to an electrical outlet). Where is the text messaging app spam folder on the S8

Wanting the spam folder in the text messaging app that used to be available on the Galaxy S three or four is it on the S8? I sure wish I could find it if it is there is someone that I do not want to block but I don't necessarily want to see their messages right now the spam folder allowed you to just go into that spam folder when you wanted to see those texts instead of just blocking them all together

Many people recommend the OnePlus 6T because it's better value for money, which it is. Assuming money is irrelevant, which phone would you get?

Might be worthy to note that I plan on keeping the phone for the next 2 years. Also I don't care about the notch at all.

How do I upgrade Android from 5 to 6 when it thinks is already up-to-date?

In Android I go to Settings -> About tablet -> Software Update -> Check now for update. I see a pop-up window called "Software Update" with the message "You are using the latest software version for current OS." Some apps don't work with Android 5.

Is my car too old for my phone?

I have a 2008 Ford Edge which paired perfectly to my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. However, I recently purchased a Samsung Note 9 and have tried for the phone to search for Sync as well as the Sync to search for the phone, both to no avail. I am technologically challenged sometimes but am curious if my car is too old for my phone?

Photos lost. Showing as grey exclamation marks.

Had camera set on SD card for storage. For some reason photos I have taken are now showing as a grey exclamation mark. When I check the file on the SD card they say zero KB. The thing is I edited some of the photos after I took them so I know they were there. Have tried encrypting the SD card but nothing changed. Please help. Lost some important memories.

samsung galaxy s8 becomes dead out of blue at 50%

my phone is in my hand a minute before and it says 48% battery , suddenly i lock the screen down and for making call i press my power button to unlock and phn is dead , plug the original charger and it says 0% start charging

and its happening past 2 weeks , rest my battery is well , it doesnt drain abnormally , but once its 100% its running fine , as it comes near 50% mark the same thing happen which i mention above ,
during standby at night it drain only 2 to 3% max (e.g its on 100% around 2am and i slept , in the morning around 1030am i check and its on 97% max )

help plz

How to change how icons display downloaded from an icon changing app

Hey! So I just got this Samsung J7 Refine phone (Boost) and I have a icon changing app that lets me customize my icons on my homepage by downloading them on to my home screen. So, I tried to do that now and I see that the phone has another smaller icon bottom right corner with the app's company logo/icon on the newly downloaded icon (if that makes sense). I have a screenshot of what I'm talking about. Is there any way to get rid of that little extra corner icon? It's annoying. I just want to display the downloaded icon as normal.

Is it possible to remove the "include Previous Recipients" option? This only shows up when forwarding an email. I have gotten myself into big trouble accidentally selecting this for work. customers have gotten emails not meant for them...
