Home button colors
There was a buzz and now my home button is flashing blue. what does that mean? I pressed the key to go to my screen, but there is nothing there indicating what to do. i.e. green flashing and I have a text message alert.

Note 4 deleted photos return
Note 4 ... as it says, deleted photos keep returning. I removed the SD Card, connected it to a PC and manually deleted EVERYTHING on the card. Put the card back into the phone and TA-DA here they are again!
I have turned OFF everything I could find related to SYNCing. I'm about to get a hammer to permanently solve this issue because NOTHING FIXES THIS ISSUE!!!!!!!

Missing emoji keyboard/text selection options, Galaxy S6?
Not sure how they're related, but just recently... the option for the emoji keyboard disappeared. And, the 'cut/copy/paste' menu that pops up after text selection no longer appears, and neither do the tabs on either side of selected text that lets you expand the selection. I've tried resetting keyboard settings and restarting. Not sure what other things I should try. Any help would be appreciated!

Why are all my contacts now listed as favorites?
6.0.1 upgrade moved all my contacts into the favorites tab. 'Unchecking" the hundreds of contacts that should not be on that group is impractical. It's there a quick way to remove all contacts from the favorites list and start over?

Phone doesn't recognize USB connection. Please help?
Hi all. I am the happy owner of a Huawei P8, but lately I've been running into the same problem. I'd really like to transfer some data from my phone to my laptop, but my phone doesn't seem to recognize it's connected via USB. It does charge, though, it just doesn't give me the option to use any other kind of USB mode. I've already tried (and failed) the following options:
- using other USB cables
- using different computers
- rebooting both my phone and my computer
- installing new drivers on my computer
I've also tried debugging USB on my phone, but when I go into developer options (whilst connected to USB), it doesn't allow me to enable debug mode. I can't seem to switch it on. It says in lightgrey text: 'USB debugging, Debug mode when USB is connected'; once more indicating it doesn't recognize its USB connection.
Does anyone know of a solution that might work? 'Cause I'm kind of at a loss here.

Why is my warranty voided?
I just returned in a Samsung Galaxy S6 which I pay monthly warranty on. My distributer is now telling me that I have downloaded an unlicensed root software on my phone and is asking me to pay alot of money in order to get it fixed. The things they want to fix is replacing parts and replacing the PCB which seems completely unrelated to the root software that I have absolutely no memory of downloading.
On this phone I have downloaded an Emulator from the app store in order to play Nintendo games, and when my phone broke I held in some buttons (Volume down + Home + Power I believe it was) in order to reset the phone which did not work. Did I overstep my boundaries here?

The "Silent" notification sound actually plays a tone
When I choose "Silent" as the notification sound for certain apps, it actually plays the "Crystal" sound with each notification.
Even stranger, this is not true for all apps. Most apps play no sound. However, SmartThings and QKSMS both play the Crystal sound for notifications, even though I've selected "Silent" from the notification sound choice menu.
I use Lightflow to manage my notification sounds, vibrations, and LED. So I need to leave notifications ON for all apps, but not have the app itself play a notification sound.
Any idea what this is about?

Can I change my FB messenger font size?
I just upgraded my android galaxy s6 from lollipop to marshmallow today and so far, I really love the update. The only thing that ticked me off (yep, got irritated & panicked lol) was how the fonts are so huge .-. I dislike large fonts bc i mean the phone is already pretty wide and to have larger fonts will only give others the "easy access" of my messages when I'm messaging someone. Yep, sadly i know some people who will peek and ignore my privacy. So is there anyway? I figured it out for my text messages but it seriously bothers me for my FB messenger. why is facebooks gallery view different then my phones gallery view?
A while back Facebook did an update which changed how your photos are viewed- it only has one album from my phone it pulls pictures from- simply gallery. Yet my phone has several albums of pictures... Camera shoots, screen shoots downloads etc.

Broken screen, trying to transfer data to new phone
Hi i dropped my Samsung galaxy S4 the other day and the screen cracked and went totally black, the phone is however still responsive though, It turns on and rings and so on, The phone is locked though, Ive been looking everywhere to try and transfer my data over to another phone and cant figure out how to do it, I tried hooking the phone upto a computer however when it loads it shows no files inside the phone, I think maybe because my phone is locked. Id really appreciate any help as i have stuff on the phone i would like to keep.

Notification alert still there after viewing
If I get a text or a msg etc the notification alert is still on the top of the screen and still previews if I lock my phone even after I've viewed it. It doesn't matter if I click the app directly or pull down and click it from the notification pane. Not sure how to make this stop.

Is there a way to get into my Google Nexus 7 so I can get my files?
Okay so my screen is cracked all along the top and entire left hand side. I cant access my settings because its on the left hand side, it doesnt auto-rotate, so I cant access alot of the features nor my drop down bar for other stuff. I've got it connected to my wifi and it connects by USB but it isnt set for file tranfers so I cant get my files that way. Daughter is not able to access her google on nexus 7 and Moto G
About a week and a half ago our daughter found herself somehow 'locked out' of her devices. I wasn't privy to the beginning of the saga. My wife and daughter tried to fix it by doing a factory reset (of which there were several attempts to factory reset the device). By the time I was allowed to offer some assistance this is what I know:
She can access her google account on a pc. Everything is there and everything appears fine.
She is not able to access her nexus 7 (2013) or Moto G. The same error message shows up for both when trying to log in (from the factory reset): There was a problem communicating with google servers. Try again later.
We are at a loss.

Formatting SD card to internal storage - How?
Hi,
I I have a Motorola G3 with 4GB of internal storage (1GB not counting how much the OS uses) running Android Marshmallow, my problem is that I am getting constant messages and warnings that my device is full and photos/apps etc may fail to save. I have a 32GB memory card in the phone which only has 20% used while the internal storage is always around 90% with the bare minimum apps installed. I have tried moving apps/media etc to the memory card but for the life of me I cannot figure out how. I I have a Motorola G3 with 4GB of internal storage (1GB not counting how much the OS uses) running Android Marshmallow, my problem is that I am getting constant messages and warnings that my device is full and photos/apps etc may fail to save. I have a 32GB memory card in the phone which only has 20% used while the internal storage is always around 90% with the bare minimum apps installed. How do I delete a DISABLED Google account from my phone?
I recently left a job at a company that used Gmail for corporate e-mail, and gave us all company Google accounts. Before I had gotten around to deleting my old work Google account from my Android 5.0.1 phone (Samsung Galaxy S4), the company deleted/disabled my account. No biggie, you would think, since the primary account on the phone is my personal gmail account, not the company one, which I just had there as a secondary account so I could check my work e-mail on my phone.
However... I am unable to delete the account from my phone. Whenever I go to Settings -> Accounts -> Google, I get an error "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped." I think it's probably the fact my secondary account is now disabled that is causing the attempt to open my Google Account Settings to fail.
Now, I'm stuck in this weird mode on my phone where I am constantly getting error messages on my phone saying "Account Action Required" and asking me to enter my login information for my old work account. Galaxy S6 files can't be viewed in Win 7 Explorer

Apps instantly closing, no fixes so far

System: Android 4.2.2
Recently I've noticed apps closing instantly after I'd open them. It started with Contacts, then Clock, Youtube and Google Play Store. Usually a system reboot would do the trick, but after some hours the issue would re-appear. For the past two days, not even a reboot can fix it anymore, and even more apps are affected.
I've spent decent time googling about, trying to find a proper fix. I've found multiple, as it seems I'm not the only one having this problem, but none worked for me. I set my phone back to factory settings three times, and the issue was persistent. I've tried deleting entire system cache, no result. I've also seen a lot of talk about some Android System Webview application, and removing of it seems to have fixed this issue for many people. However it seems I don't have this application as it doesn't appear under Settings > Apps, and I cannot confirm in Google Play Store since the store closes itself two seconds after it has loaded.
I also tried fixing the Google Play Store alone, by removing data and cache (also from other apps related to this one), by removing updates, by re-syncing my google account and so on, but nothing helped.
Sadly, none of these crashes are accompanied by messages like "something has stopped working" or "something something error", so I'm unable to provide any more precise information.
I am really out of ideas, and I'm holding on to bringing my phone to my service provider (where I bought it) as a last resort, although I doubt they would be able to to much.
If you have any ideas, it would be much appreciated.

I have moved from iphone 4s, to Galaxy S7 and getting used to android.
In IOs, say you get an email and someone has written a phone number or a date, on the iphone you can select it, and add the date to the calandar, or call the phone number, or create a new contact, or add to an existing contact.
On Android I cant figure out how this can be done. When I select the text / number I am given some options under SHARE but that shares to things like whatsapp , text message but there is no direct way of adding to the address book.
I wish I could post the screenshot of how this is done in IOs but there is no option on this quick message bit.

Phone was completely unstable after being outside in the pool and sun.
I was in the pool today for about an hour. The phone was on the wet surface but no direct water contact. First the bluetooth kept disconnecting from the speaker. It stopped after I moved the phone a couple of inches away from the speaker. Then I took it and sat down at the patio and the screen started switching to camera, and then random apps. Became totally unresponsive like it had a mind of its own or was freaking out. Rebooted still was having the same issue. After a while it stopped. Could this be from too much light exposure/sun or being in and around the water?

LG G3 has bricked... is it recoverable?
I tried to install Android Marshmallow manually, it didn't work and now my LG G3 is stuck in a bootloop. I've tried to put it into download mode in order to get LG PC Suite to fix it but it shows the download mode writing, then the screen goes black and no 'COM' writing appears like it should do. Is my phone soft or hard bricked? When I plug it in my computer recognises it's something, but it doesn't recognise it's an LG.

basically I have locked myself out of my mobile because Samsung went retard and it wont recognize my pattern.
I rooted it ages ago not knowing I did a full root
I thought I pulled out early enough during the root. anyways I needed to hard reset my mobile coz I locked myself out.
basically I need to install the stock rom on the phone
and put it back to factory. I'm currently downloading a stock rom file but not 100% its legit.
my phone is currently stuck on the downloading screen and I'm lost.

why wont my screen work on my galaxy s6 active?
last night I was using my phone and all was good, I got messages fine screen was bright, all was well. Then after leaving a parking lot to a friends house I realized iv lost my phone. so I retrace my steps and sure enough I found it on the ground in the parking lot. I was so excited I tried to call my friend but my screen wouldn't turn on. Didn't think anything of it so I went home plugged in the charger (the LED light did not turn green when I plugged it in like it normally dose) woke up this morning to find the same problem. iv tried googling the problem and it seems that the galaxy s6 edge and the galaxy s6 have the same problem but I could not find one galaxy s6 active specific so iv tried the powering of button combos like; holding down the power and volume down button at the same time and also the power button with the volume up button at the same time, also the power volume up and down button all at the same time, but to no results. please help

If so, how do I transfer all the information from my Samsung Galaxy Core onto the iphone 4S?

On my SAMSUNG ACE 4, I have tried to move pics. or music from my device storage to the phone micro sd card via 1.my files, 2.device storage, 3.DCIM ( for pics ), 4.camera, 5.press and hold a picture, 6.press options at upper right hand corner, 7.press "move", 8.press sd card symbol, 9.create folder, 10.press ok, and receive a "creation failed" notice. I have tried this process several times, only to be meet with the same failed attempt. What am I doing wrong ? Or is there something wrong with my device ?

I have an issue with my Samsung Galaxy note 4 edge. When I access my voice mail box, the digit stop working. This means for example that , when my voice mail says press 1 to replay message, digit 1 would not respond to cause message to replay. Same with other digit commands. If I prompted to press 7 to erase the message, pressing 7 does not work or 9 to save message will not work.
If I call a service and the answeringsystem prompts me to press a digit to select a menu option, my key board digits stop working.
How do I solve the issue?

Software update disaster, now Bridge won't work. Please help!
While I was at work, my phone decided to update of its own accord and - I think - consequently drained its battery so that the update was interrupted as the phone rebooted. When I re-charged it and tried to turn it on, it became stuck on the LG screen. Taking the battery out and powering on meant that it would come up with a message saying it was optimising apps (as usual after an update) but once again stuck on the screen after this.
I factory reset the phone and lost all of my settings. I've now found that the phone will not connect to LG Bridge, despite using it without problems before. It says I must download PC Suite, which I understand to be the software designed for slightly older phones. Bridge was intended for my G4, and I want to use it - especially because it has a back up feature I might be able to use to claw back some of my lost data. Does anyone know how I can return to using Bridge?

Urbane 2...can you set it up for calling without a phone (using a tablet)?

My phone died so while I get my replacement, I was wondering if I could setup an Urbane 2 with my tablet and still use the phone sync sim card option to use the watch to call. I would think it will be fine but want to make sure.
I am not TOTALLY sold on the looks, specially the band compared to my LG Watch R with my nice band (tan color with black rivets and buckle), but I like the screen and extra features.

Lost apps after manipulating contents with usb storage option
I turned on usb storage on my andriod n deleted files with nonsense names as seen on my laptop. All my installed apps have gone. Plus, no space emptied up on my internal memory to allow me to reinstall said apps from playstore. Are my apps still there? How do i get them back??

Why did my note not save on quickmemo+? Is there any way to retrieve lost memo? Even if not saved?
I wrote a long note a quickmemo+ and went to save it only to find it didnt save... I repeated the process to verify i didn't do anything wrong... It simply chose not to save it... S7 selfie camera error – already tried everything
My selfie camera started crashing last week. I've had the phone for just over a month. (I'm on T-Mobile.) The first time, went back to the store and they did a SR to get it working again.
The last couple days, though, it hasn't worked again. So I got online and looked up all the help advice I could find.
I SR it again. I Force Stopped the app. I Force Stopped the Gallery and wiped the cache. I turned off the face recognition feature. I even erased the system partition cache, or whatever it's called.
After that, it finally worked—briefly. It was very laggy, and any bright light source in the picture looked purple. (I took a picture of it, but I don't see a place to post it here.)
After a minute or so, it crashed again.
What is wrong? What can I to fix this? Please help.

Unable to turnoff Microsoft Outlook (MSN) account sync

Move my apps off my phone and onto a cloud/server and run them there. How can I do that?

Have I got a virus?
Hi, just had a prompt from a hijacked website alerting me to "FOUR virus" (which is hard to believe considering I am very careful, and only recently bought the phone) and prompts me to download a free app from the "play store".
I have tried to link an image in the comments.
So my question is, have I been infected? I did not download anything, but is it possible that the website could have secretly downloaded something? I do not have external download sources enabled either. Avast says I'm clean too. Just want to be sure that's all.
I've heard all about these pop-up viruses, but just want to make sure. Like I say, I did not install anything from the play store, did not download any .apk files. I presume I'm fine, just want to make sure.

Google account can't connect to phone
Hi there I've just had a problem recently with my s5 that youtube, play store and chrome won't connect to my Google account because of a sync error
This is only for these apps as Google plus and Gmail work fine I can also access my account on other devices just fine and I have tried all the basic stuff disconnect from the Internet clear app cache restart phone etc but nothing seems to work
The reason I know it's a problem with my phone and Google and not my Google account is because I removed my account from my phone and then tried signing back in obviously that didn't work but them I tried logging into another account and I got the same thing

GPS problems on HTC / Strava / Map my ride
I've used map my ride for a few years, mainly cycling but recently running with no problems. About 2 months ago I started having problems with location accuracy and sometimes no tracking at all. I duplicated rides on Strava with the same result. This was all on an HTC one m8.
As the contract was coming to an end anyway I upgraded to the HTC ten 2 weeks ago and have exactly the same problem.
I live in a city so coverage shouldn't be a problem, and have amended settings but it's still not working properly. I even tried a new sim card yesterday in the vain hope that it was somehow disturbing the signal.
I have the option of changing phones still under the terms of the contract but wanted to know if there's anything else I could try first. It has no problem locating me at the start and end of the exercise, just in between.

a friend of mine gave me a phone to repair. As i said to her, i am not good at these things, but i could try it. Mobile is Samsung mini Gt-S5570I. Problem is simple. When you launch the mobile, it will show classic samsung starting, but when the android should load, the mobile restart it self.
I tried pull of Sd card and du factory reset. Did not help. I also tried safe mode, but it show "Odin mode" and "downloading, do not turn off the target" and stucked.
I thought, reinstalling Android should help it, but i cant find nothink about it on the internet for 3 days now. Please help!

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini stuck in restart loop and now dead?
My phone got stuck in a restart loop on Friday (got to either "SAMSUNG" screen and rebooted, or got to pincode entry screen but wouldn't allow any touchscreen entry. After several hours of this I managed to get logged into phone, and it then stated there were security updates required, which I installed. Yesterday, after a restart it said it was installing these updates. The phone is now dead. It's powered off, no response when trying to turn on and it isn't recognised by my PC either when connected via USB. Is my phone completely dead, or is there something I can do to get it working again?

recently i received a video file through xender now the thing is that video shows up only in xender history its opening perfectly in xender history but i am not able to see it in gallery or in vlc or mx video player. Android Gear S2 Smartwatch. Watch strap faulty.
Have had my Samsung Gear S2 SM-R720 Smartwatch from new for 6 weeks. Last night I got up from my chair, returned to sit down and saw my Watch lying on the chair, could have happened outside the house, anywhere... The Rubber Vulcanizing, or Glue? manufacturing process, to the stainless steel fixing clip had come adrift. I did manage after a while to get the fixing clip off the Watch. Apparently I am not alone with this fault and hope that Samsung has now opened a Data Base on this recurring Design Fault and is not a "Water" etc problem. Donny

Why do I keep getting a notification that Google Play Services needs to be updated?
My phone did a software update yesterday and ever since then I have been getting a notification that reads "Google Play won't run unless you update Google Play Services."

Why is my game not shown in google play search?
I made a 2D platform game and recently published it on 16 May 2016. I added the description with keywords: 2D platform game, cat, lite. However if i type in the search query for 2D platform game, cat 2D platform games. The results does not include my game. I see other games published at similar dates. Is there any way to recover pictures. Have repeatedly tried hard boot but no success. Screen stays black but phone will vibrate periodically like it is trying to boot. Keeping it plugged in to avoid the battery draining down. Willing trash phone if needed to recover pictures.

What is the best version of the android ?
I have android 6.0 however I found it pretty bad not to mention that some applications are incompatible with it, so I decided to downgrade (go back to a previous version of the android) in it but before that I have to know what the best version of android.

Why do I see black screen with clock and padlock?
I've just got a smart phone for the first time – a Moto G, 3rd Generation.
I was getting on OK with it set for a PIN but now somehow when I open the cover it shows, briefly, the time and a padlock. I've tried tapping and swiping the screen to no avail. The only way to open it is to press the power button briefly and then type in my PIN.
How can I get rid of the first black screen showing the clock and the padlock?

Device does not recognise SD Memory Card
I have been using Moto X Play for seven months. For about a month the device was not in use and SIM and Memory cards were transferred to another device.
I have now started using the Moto X Play again but I find that the SD memory Card does not show or rather the device does not read it.
Please let me know what could be the problem and how I can resolve the issue.

I removed the download status on my S3 and can't get it back
Whenever I used to download stuff on my phone such as music, apps etc there was always a download status which appeared on the top left hand corner which told you how much percentage of it was done etc. This kept randomly appearing once despite the fact I didn't download anything and it was annoying so I forced stopped it and removed it from appearing. Only problem is now whenever I download things that icon status now no longer appears at all. I only really need that when downloading music. I can't seem to find anyway to get it back. Can anyone assist me please?

Power/lock button on my s7 has sunk in!
I was on my phone this morning and it was working as it normally would. I'm not even sure what's caused it but my power/lock button has sunk into the phone. It barely sticks out at the side, i cant even press it and is unresponsive. I tried the volume down and power button and it did restart but I can't lock my phone normally. Any idea how to fix it?

Trying to switch font to Emoji font 3 it is no longer supported
Hello I've always been using the font for iOS emojies called emoji font 3. Device software updated and now won't accept password to unlock

Chromebook for kids
My daughter just graduated 5 the grade and is moving to middle school next year. Our school cluster is very involved in technology and each class as enough Chromebooks to go around. I would like to get her one of her own that she can take to and from school for homework and classwork.
What are some good Chromebooks for kids? I would like to get her one that, if accidental dropped, could withstand the fall. Maybe one that had a waterproof keyboard?
I don't want to spend an arm and a leg. I was initially looking in the $170 range but if it's rugged I wouldn't mind increasing the budget a little.

Why is Google voice search randomly opening and playing music on my G3?
I've been having this problem for a while and it's making me absolutely miserable. Whenever I'm listening to music, Google voice search will turn on randomly and switch the song. When I'm watching videos, Google voice search will randomly turn on and play music. Sometimes it will say, "If you just said something, I didn't hear what it was". Something very wrong with my S6 camera

I have an s6 and the camera is, for lack of a better word, rubbish. I have done a whole lot of things to try increase the image quality but nothing seems to work. I am supposed to be able to take a 16mp image but I cant see the difference in image quality off an old 3mp phone. There is absolutely no definition in the image and the "shadows" are like a black blur :(
I have read about people increasing the ISO etc but I have no idea where to find that on my camera. I fear that I might not even have the right app loaded on this phone! The most advanced option I have on the pre-loaded app is "manage" but that allows me to make the same adjustments as the "normal" and does not increase quality at all.
I would love to add some pics to this post to show you what I am talking about but I can add pics.
Any suggestions? Is it possible that I have a faulty camera AND incorrect app??

Okay so, this just happened to me. I was on the internet browser reading some blog when I noticed that the time remained the same after clearly having passed several minutes after the last time I checked. So I went to the home page to try and see if that did the trick but the time remained the same, I then clicked the power button on and off immidiately but then everything went black! Yes, right after my heart almost stopped and was on the verge of tears while I viciusly pressed every buttom available till it went back on, like any other sane person I did the normal thing to do and made my way with my heavy heary to the extensive researched webs of google only to find out that my expensive less-than-a-week-old phone has a tendency to go black void on people. Yay, right? Ugh.
Anyway, I was reading many reviews from these people complaining about it but I noticed their incidents all had something in common which mine hadn't, their phone was still actually ON, the buttons lit up, they could hear the notifications, ringtones and such and well, mine stopped working entirely! Alas, it's fine now but I just can't help but worry that if I don't get it checked now while I still got the chance to get it replaced and it turns out later on that there was something wrong with my unit, I'll just go face-highfive a wall!
My last phone, an iphone 5S, it's screen suddenly went black for reasons no tech could give me and the son of satan never worked ever again. So I though "I'm done with apple. F*ck them!" And off I went to get the new shiny-pretty-looking Galaxy S7. Imagine how I felt when today the screen of this one went black, I thought "I've been forever cursed! The black void is upon me!". No but seriously, I don't want to lose another phone and I'm starting to get paranoid so even if it's a pain in the arse I've been considering to go through the never ending lines and paper work of Verison to make sure they give me a new one and tell them they gave me a broken phone, even if that is not necessary true. lol
What do you'll think? Should I be safe and get a new one already? Is this a common thing going on with the s7/edge so I shouldn't worry so much? Has my previous misfortune with an iphone had left me traumatized? The answer to the last question is yes. 😂

Is it better to have everything on memory card?
I Currently have an update for my Note 4. However, I can't update because the memory is full. My phone is 32gb and 400mb free. My memory card is 64 with 21gb free. Shall I just move everything to do the card and start deleting things like excess music (1400 songs) and screenshots?

I cannot load apps on to my new android. it does not recognise my device
When I try to load new apps from the play store, I get a drop down menu asking me which device I want to use. My new Onda V919 tablet ins not recognised. How do I add this to the list?

Home button , multitasking app button stopped working , no notifications
2 days ago, because the device was full, my phone suddenly stopped working, the last message it was showing was Google Drive abruptly stopped or something like that. i was able to delete photos that were backed up on Google photos i restarted the phone only to findd the Home button, currently open apps button andd dnotifications not working at all. my phone simply vibrates when i get an SMS, whatsapp msg bt doesnt show on home screen any notification I have to manually go to SMS/whatsapp to check if there are new messages. i tried clearing cache in storage and rebooting multiple times - No luck!
also gmail is not updating automatically.
